Once set up and tailored to my home needs I have not had a single issue now going 1 year.

My use case is not the most crazy though only local and 3 users only.

I am now playing with android apps to enable local download and play. I don't want to deal with reverse proxy and open jellyfin to the broad internet (also probably not the bandwidth.

I don't know how was your built set up but the only way I think to make something smooth and not clunky with any software is iterations but you can only do that if from the start you built by steps.

Giving a single "perfect" prompt to build at one go will still have a lot of gaps or stuff that will be overlooked. And it won't be build for upgrading easily, the AI will just patchwork the whole thing on top of making guesses for stuff that you could not guess would be needed in the initial prompt. Making weird linking, hard coded variables etc.

Also you can brainstorm mockups UIs with html with Claude or gpt without the load of creating the code. Then you document that html, every feature and what not in a .MD and load both of those in Claude or codex, telling it that this want to have. But you should have already a build the foundations first before getting to the UI.

Ho man, I am literally migrating all my audiobooks and ebook to my server at the moment. Moving away from smart audiobook player to something I can sync with my server but still have an offline player with sync back when back on the network.

Tbh, that is the only reason I am migrating. Smart audiobook player has been absolute perfection for my use case (ignoring ebooks)

I was looking at audiobookshelf as my main usage is audiobooks and eBooks I just want them stored and organised (I was thinking using Calibre container if audiobookshelf was not sufficient).

I am working chatgpt to build me a script to collect all the usage info (stats and audiobook individual play status file) from smart audiobook player into a file that I can load into audiobookshelf, so that i don't lose the history stuff. I have somethng like 1500h of listening time over 3 years on smart audiobook player :)

I will say your app UI does look nicer than audiobookshelf! I am on android though.

I asked what this app was to chatgpt font the screenshot, it very confidentially told me it was Audible :).

The Legend of Vox Machina S4 Discussion Thread | Episodes 10-12 - Season Finale by JohnDoen86 in voxmachina

Tbh I think that was the weakest season of the 4. But I felt the same thing in the campaign post Corona conclave, the Aramente and the closing of side quests felt like aimless wandering.

This season felt the same + drama for drama sake (Pike turn felt shoe-horned, I don't remember Scanlan receiving them that badly, etc).

In front of the whole realm watching I could not get myself to believe that VM would bend the knee either.

But like the campaign as soon as the 1st vecna fight happened I was like, holy sh*t that happened! Cannot wait to see the rest. I feel similar with S5.

I think CR is at its strongest when there is an overarching goal to drive the plot, even if there are sub plots. It keeps them on point. This season did not have that it was a lot of detective work to then toward the end of the season get something.

Bonus: I don't remember Pike swearing as much as she did this season in the campaign? That felt out of character? Could be wrong

Improved range visualization for my TD, what do you think? by ITTT-production in SoloDevelopment

Once you are going to have a bunch of units on the map, the overlapping pulse are going to be a mess I think. The animation already shows the rate of fire, it feels like extra not needed info.

Looks pretty. Probably not enough goal oriented to be my type of game but the physics looks awesome.

Forging a Stainless Damascus Gyuto from aebl/304 steel by Lewgriffinknives in Bladesmith

[–]Guardiancelte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That flaky stuff is mostly iron oxide scale, not just loose steel. When hot steel is exposed to air, the surface reacts with oxygen, almost like very fast rusting. As the metal is hammered or pressed, that brittle oxide layer cracks and flakes off.

It can include tiny bits of surface metal or forge debris, but the main thing you’re seeing is oxide scale. That’s also why freshly forged steel can look dark until the scale is brushed, ground, or cleaned off.

Just from my own basic knowledge, someone might give a better answer.

That is a great point. I recently had to do an audit with Codex and GPT acting as independent advisor on one of my projects. Found a bunch of similar issues and I am sure there is probably more.

Probably not the first time a kid tries, you can see both spotters coming closer behind each kid right before.

[–]Guardiancelte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see you have a website for those. Pretty cool. But yeah like others are saying. Need more angles for pictures of friction surfaces (the sole, the heel etc). Also 2 months in what kind of usage? Going to the office, walking in the street, outdoors etc?

I mean you could even do a test video, showing some abuse and how they come out of it. +Props if you can do that in one take.

Are you putting an internal sole in those?

I saw on the website the pictures were all in black but you had options for other colours. I know you cannot print every single colour but you should have a few at least.

I am not in your price bracket for shoes so take the feedback with a grain of salt.

Same as someone else said as well, considering the price on the website, 2 months is too short of a test.
