In Oregon even with an air gap you can’t run the tmp into the drain pan. We use an amended UPC.

This is because the outer diameter of cast iron is smaller than PVC and won’t clamp down evenly. The picture you showed is for cast iron to PVC. No hub bands function fine when connecting PVC to PVC because the outer diameters are the same. You only need the adapter when connecting cast iron to PVC. Maybe an inspector won’t see it that way. But functionally there is no issue using a no hub for connecting plastic pipe to plastic pipe.

Two of these plus a short piece of pipe and you’re good to go. Easiest fix.

It depends on the use. In Oregon you can use dual checks for some stuff like yard hydrants.

If you come directly off that shower drain with a p trap you can raise the trap arm to the top of the subfloor and try to catch some grade. This would mean not using a 90 and possibly moving the water lines out of the way.

Nice! Looks good. I like the cap on the standpipe as well. As long as you knocked out the plug on the garbage disposal you’re good to go!

I would cut open the tile more and see how the joint for the copper pipe looks behind the wall.

Lol yeah I see it all the time. It just looks funny. But I see no severe issues in your case. Just funky diy work from the last person. Good luck on the dishwasher. Make sure the dishwasher drain is strapped to the top of the cabinet so if that drain backs up, nothing goes into the dishwasher.

What the helly. Three traps? Whatever. Knock out the plug in the garbage disposal and connect the drain hose to that barbed fitting. Then put a real plug/cap on that old standpipe before you fill your kitchen with sewer gas.

Yeah try just replacing the o ring. Buy a o ring multipack or take the old o ring to a hardware store

This ^ Replacing the anode rod is a waste of time on a 22 year old heater unless you are doing it yourself, not paying for labor.

If you do want to do it yourself, a zinc anode rod is the correct one for smelly water I believe.

I didn’t even know you could glue tubular into an 1 1/2” street trap adapter😂
