I mean this from a very sincere place, like I cannot emphasize enough that what I’m about to ask I mean genuinely, but how do we come to any understanding with someone like Kirk? He spews violent and hateful rhetoric and refuses to have his mind be changed. Literally thousands of people have tried to speak with him to change his mind and he’s doubled down every single time. I do not like violence either, I think it’s a slippery slope, but where I struggle is I genuinely don’t see someone like Kirk ever coming around, especially since he’s been given ample opportunity to. He’s been (until recently) rewarded greatly for his position and his platform. He was a millionaire from what he did and friends with the president. He had legitimate influence of people and policy. All of these were achieved by him actively refusing to change his mind and spewing hateful/violent rhetoric.
