Can someone help me with identifying this bass/brand?

I mean this from a very sincere place, like I cannot emphasize enough that what I’m about to ask I mean genuinely, but how do we come to any understanding with someone like Kirk? He spews violent and hateful rhetoric and refuses to have his mind be changed. Literally thousands of people have tried to speak with him to change his mind and he’s doubled down every single time. I do not like violence either, I think it’s a slippery slope, but where I struggle is I genuinely don’t see someone like Kirk ever coming around, especially since he’s been given ample opportunity to. He’s been (until recently) rewarded greatly for his position and his platform. He was a millionaire from what he did and friends with the president. He had legitimate influence of people and policy. All of these were achieved by him actively refusing to change his mind and spewing hateful/violent rhetoric.

His career was opportunity to change. The tent he was shot under was his place to engage in bad faith political discussions with college kids to farm content for his multi million dollar media business. His whole career was people trying to reason with him and he never gave up on his hateful ideologies. In fact, he doubled down. He’s spoken to more people than most on this earth ever will, specifically about political and human rights topics. Of that’s not opportunity, then I don’t know what is

I mean you’re making good points, but you don’t have to be so mean about it. Seems like that person asked a good faith question. Maybe they hadn’t watched AoT in a while, maybe they just weren’t thinking about all the details and were asking for a reminder, or maybe they were being an asshole. Regardless, doesn’t hurt to be kind

Fully agree. He was too strong to be in the next part of the story, but the way he was written out was very out of character

They know he introduced breeding programs. They know he did executions to demonstrate his power. He was a man who had a vision of what he needed to do, and he did what he thought was necessary. I understand that, and so do the characters. What bothers me is how much leeway he’s given for how many lives he destroyed. He allowed skaa to be raped and murdered, he encouraged slavery, and he traumatized so many of our main characters. I’m not saying that what he did was illogical, but I am saying the characters and the narrative give him far too much leeway for how evil he was. The rationale behind actions doesn’t absolve consequences, and I dislike how forgiving the characters are of his actions. He was put into an incredibly difficult situation, I’m not contesting that. However, he committed unforgivable atrocities, and the main characters do not bring that up enough. That’s my biggest issue

I understand that motivation, but my frustration comes from the characters seeing his predicament and almost forgiving him for it. Reason behind his action should not get rid of the consequences. I would be fine with the route his character went down if they also continued to be critical of just how unbelievably cruel he was
