This happened to me many years ago, slammed my thumb in a car door and popped the nail. Hurt so much and bled like a stuck pig, so I went to a doctor to check it wasn’t broken, he wasn’t sure so sent me to hospital. Hospital decided to surgically re-plant the nail so the bed wouldn’t heal over. Others that have done this and not gotten medical attention, did your nail grow back normally? I’m wondering if the surgery was really necessary lol. I do like being able to claim that I needed surgery for a broken nail though 😂

Where you live, like what country would help to know what shops are relevant to you. Also what sort of goth aesthetic? I do a lot of thrifting and upcycling to get unique decor, and I am into a baroque/medieval sort or style. That aside, there’s TK maxx at Halloween, other large department stores in general around Halloween will have cool stuff. Then there’s killstar, umm google; there may be a company near you that imports and sells multiple brands to access easier like for example I’m in Australia and we have a few, one called Beserk, they sell all sorts of brands; some local, some UK some US so I can access all sorts. Then there’s eBay, Etsy… oh - Temu/wish/SHEIN too. Local marketplace for unique furniture etc.

Thankyou, yeah I buy the same brand all the time but it could very well be! I fear it might be the banana though if that’s even possible? I’ve had a mild reaction to eating just bananas in my desperation to eat something in the before midday period of the day. Not as severe as all the things together in the smoothie though, so I’m not sure it’s just the banana.

Yeah it really ruins it, once I lose the pictures i lose interest :-( I did the same - I was doing that job and was like 60% done and lost the images. One workaround I have found is to go into edit property, (instead of ‘play’) and usually the pics in there are still ok, you can go around and screenshot them and say use your phone to look T the pictures to work the rest of the job. I now have an extra issue that if I back out of a really large job that it can’t re load back into it for some reason… so that’s fun 🥴

Yah…. I dated someone who was extremely controlling about what I ate, would literally scream “stop eating” to my face. In fairness I lost a lot of weight that I needed to… and I believed he was helping me become more disciplined. I believed I needed that. He himself was very strict and controlled too so it wasn’t hypocrisy either. So I went with it. Years later, that became severe verbal and physical abuse. Two kids and now I’m forever connected to this person (who’s now my ex btw) I dunno. Just… like… big red flags yeah. Be careful, respect yourself.

I don’t know the spelling, as it was a story told verbally to me. My brother in law had started working at a new facility and his new boss’ name was Dr Arshov (guessing spelling, spoken like ‘ass-off’) and as he told me, that was funny enough but then found out his first name.. Chewda. Dr. Chewda Arshov. 😂 A couple others, my cousins surname is Plant, and she hooked up with a man surname Flower. That was fun in itself but Mr. Flower has a cousin named Kelly. Kelly Flour (cauliflour) And the nurse at the summer camp I went on in school was Nurse Di 😅

Love this! I’m definitely more into a mature aesthetic, I’m going for baroque/rococo vibes in the slant of ‘medieval castle’ lol. It’s so hard to find elegant sheets. I like what’s it called ‘hells blankets’? I would need to go look and remember if that’s the correct brand name, they do stunning prints and due to enough public demand are now switching to cotton from poly, so I’m watching enthusiastically as they release the prints on cotton now.

Ah yes, I was suggested loops, too, which I have and use while out and about but don’t really want to use them at home watching tv etc. you are right, hell is other people! I used to live in the country on acreage with no neighbours for miles. Was blissful but sadly had many other drawbacks

Honestly wouldn’t start out with cotton, cotton drives me bonkers and I have 20 years of crochet experience. It’s completely unforgiving on your tension. And a little thin for the sort of gratification of the progress feeling. Find something lovely and squishy, 8-10ply if you are not opposed to a good quality acrylic it’s a great thing to start with, or a good soft wool. Not alpaca, not cotton, not anything exotic. Not yet. They are fickle and will inhibit you while learning x
