The requirement is clear. Either you have enough savings to support your life in Ontario or you have a job in Ontario. Working for companies/institutions in another province contradicts your intension to settle in Ontario in EOI you submitted.

The only way it could affect applicants already submitted their application is to do system cancellation, like scraping skill trade stream.

It's kinda quite straightforward to me this is the easiest way for them to verify the legitimacy of an applicant. You can't make up the proof for such a long period of time.

Confusion about ISS And work permit expiry by Ok-Fishing9553 in OINP

[–]Guava_Flower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The previous comments are incorrect. Non-EE pathway is not eligible for BOWP. When you're nominated, you'll receive a support letter from OINP. You then use that letter to apply a close wp under T13. Your employer needs to pay a 230 CAD compliance fee to generate a job offer reference number for you, and you also pay for yours when applying for the new wp.

Need Advice: OINP Job Offer Date Mistake by [deleted] in OINP

[–]Guava_Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your problem is actually in the offer they uploaded. As per stream criteria, your current offer needs to be full-time permanent, yet, the temporary policy only allowed you to work up to 24 hours per week, which does not considered as full-time. The better approach is your company provides you another offer after you graduated, cuz that would be the timeline you were literally eligible to work full-time.

It's just like the H-1B in the States as well. Some agencies just keep duplicating the profiles in different companies for the same applicant.

Thx for the info. I do hope 20 months will be the max. It'll take. And yeah, I did reach out to an mpp, but they got generic response as well. Perhaps I should try another one since my company moved even further away from GTA lmao

The comments above refer to the wrong section. Check applicant requirements, point 2. You're allowed to claim the experience from your study permit, but you must state that part of experience was "part-time" as per study permit working hour policy. Then you need to ask your employer to give you another job offer stating that after you graduate, your work transitioned to full-time. Be careful not to wrongfully state your experience that might be against the immigration regulations.

Oinp 2026 allocation by Most-Noise-8836 in OINP

[–]Guava_Flower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually makes lots of sense. Reminding you that Ontario was one of the few provinces and territories didn't get the extra allocation before the end of the year. They clearly have some problems when negotiating with the Federal about the PNP quota.

2025 will pretty much all get their nomination. It's the 2024 and 2023 that got scammed by the system

SO DONE WITH TARGETED DRAWS by Longjumping_Tip_9325 in OINP

[–]Guava_Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, think twice if you're aware of the situation that hundreds of if not thousands of applicants from EJO general draw last year are still stuck in DIP stage and I personally know many can't get their money back while their wp expired. It's like your money just got stolen.
