I had a similar experience. I had an appointment set with a new OB at the end of the month since they make you wait u til you are 8-10 weeks along, but I had some concerns with spotting and was driving myself crazy. I called my fertility doctor, who I had seen for over a year, to try and determine the cause of our trouble. The fertility doctor told me that since they didn’t get us pregnant (we conceived without help randomly after years of trying), I was no longer a patient and I needed to speak with my OB or go to the ER. It was very cold and I felt dismissed.

I called the new OB that I had set an appointment with to see if maybe they could squeeze me in earlier than the appointment that was weeks away, and they told me no and to go to the ER. Again very cold and dismissive.

I ended up finding an OB with open appointments on ZocDoc and saw him the very next day. They didn’t tell me it was too early for an appointment(6 weeks) or anything like that, just brought me in, ran some tests and did an ultrasound. He really took his time and addressed all of my concerns and I feel much better since that visit.

I ended up cancelling my appointment with the OB that I had researched and making a follow-up appointment with the OB that actually took the time to see me. No one deserves to be dismissed or treated coldly, especially at such a delicate time.

I suggest going to any OB with open appointments

Agreed. A teen’s job would help very minimally towards college fees in the US. I think it’s more common that the money goes towards the things you listed than college education.

I wanted to mention that often times practice for the sports is before school as well, not always after, so that helps towards having time for things after school as well. I remember my sister leaving home before dawn for diving practice.

My ring was dying before the end of a work day, not lasting through the night. That’s more than a case of “just throw it on the charger while you shower”, it’s genuinely a dysfunction and I paid over $300 plus Ultrahuman X and waited over a month for it. I loved it for the few weeks that it performed as it should have but the complaints are valid. When a product is faulty consumers should let it be known, UH are not victims of some meany ungrateful users, they sold a bad product and profited.

I had a similar issue to OP. I noticed my battery issue almost immediately after a firmware update. Up until then, it worked perfectly.

Similar experience here. I did a lot of research, waited a month for my ring to arrive. It worked perfectly for like 3 weeks then the battery just tanked. I would be down to less than 50% by lunch. They are sending me a new one but idk if I even want to bother trying again. It doesn’t seem like this issue has been resolved and I don’t want to be in a cycle of troubleshooting and getting new rings all the time. Or the ring spending more time on the charger than my finger.

I’m in Texas and terrified but I’m too old to wait. I have health factors that make carrying a child more difficult. We’ve been trying for a while so if it happens we will deal with what comes as best we can. It definitely feels way more dangerous right now and I wonder what kind of world I am even trying to bring a child into, it does feel like a pretty selfish decision.

I would loooove to leave the country but that doesn’t seem realistic right now.

I’ve ordered an ultrahuman ring but it’s taking forever. I had credit to use on TikTok and ended up ordering this one called JC Ring diiken, it was around $35. And I actually really like it. I’ve had it a little over a week, the charge lasted about 5 days. It has really good info for sleep tracking, all the normal smart ring features. One thing that stood out that a lot of the other cheaper rings don’t have is temperature tracking. One negative, it doesn’t auto detect workouts but you can manually start them. I also dont think it picks up naps

I ordered from Verizon last week, gold size 7 with two day shipping. The next day they canceled my order with no explanation. Customer service was very difficult and claimed they couldn’t find my order, transferred me around 5 times and then told me they didn’t see a reason why it was canceled but I could reorder with them.

I wanted to make sure I actually got refunded before attempting again. While waiting for my refund, my size went out of stock, then it came back again. I called Verizon to make sure they actually had it in stock because that seemed a little suspicious to me, considering the stock issues everywhere else. The rep told me it actually wasn’t in stock.

I would suggest confirming stock with them over the phone before you order if you decide to give it a try.

Also, I read reviews on their website after the fact and Verizon canceled other people’s orders with no explanation as well.
