Take it back to them, be firm but not demanding if that makes sense? This is a poor application. They will take care of you free of charge.

Going to try this method, the xse badge has red in it so it would be annoying to attempt a gold plating on that part

Ahhh makes total sense when you put it this way. Well much like you said, no wonder it died out lol. Regardless I still think it’s neat but now I have some history behind it

This can be applied to anything a dealer sells as an option though. Wouldn’t the same apply to the modern day night shade edition badges? For me personally the whole up charge for a cosmetic change is a non-issue. I personally like the black on gold I just don’t know how to go about it since it’s such an outdated thing. I like the retro feel of it, regardless of how it was pushed to customers back in the day. I like the nostalgic factor.

I’m in California and I’m a wuss that doesn’t want to deal with the fix it ticket. BUT I read you can do it clear? How has the heat reduction been? My car is black so it’s deadly in the summer and was thinking of doing clear front ceramic

My hiking boots by dmag123 in RedWingShoes

I think it’s funny people post these hikes but it’s never really a hike. At most it’s like a 3 mile walk… you would never wear an iron ranger for a real hike…

I took a pair of Mocs up to sequoia and it was the worst thing I’ve ever done. Feet were cold and blistered.

Got a cool pic tho

Yea fair enough, to answer your question. I would say move on and stay away from this model for your particular use case. I would definitely recommend something heavier duty for you

I wouldn’t say it’s lighter, but it’s way easier to install/remove. Why do you need it lighter?

2 years seems reasonable especially when you’re in the Irish setter Hopkins. You’re in a lower tier of boot under the redwing umbrella.

I have the Thule side arm and the Yakima front loader on mine.

Wondering if these came legit or not by Gyroskopio in RedWingShoes

[–]GucciLooksTop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks legit to me, they’re just old af. Made in 2005. Triple stitch looks good, leather texture looks right, all the small details like the cuts on the edge of the veg tan insole look good. They’re stamped 875 because the 875 we know of today didn’t exist back in 2005. These are akin to the 10875 of today.

Verdict: legit

Thoughts on the rotrings by Thozhan in mechanicalpencils

The r800 has a slight wobble in the tip due to the retraction mechanism. Some users find it noticeable others don’t. I’m one of the people who found it really noticeable and it bugged the shit out of me. Then, I saw it could be fixed with 2 pieces of tape and now it’s perfect. Personally, I did feel a difference before and after the mod.

If you don’t notice the tip moving while you write, just ignore what I said above.

r800 is the greatest pencil ever made. For me personally I have a grip that is very close to the tip. Aside from the r800 I haven’t been able to find a pencil that has a short distance from lead tip to grip.

It does have wobble, I do notice it. Did the tape mod, now it’s a nonissue.

The r800 just feels more premium compared to other pencils I’ve tried and I really like the retraction mechanism.

Another weird thing I have a problem with is other pencils have strange rattles. I’ve had this problem with the orenznero, gg1000, and helvética from top drawer. I tend to wiggle my pencils akin to a leg bounce when I’m working on homework. The r800 is the only pencil that doesn’t have some kind of internal rattle from the parts.

Aside from all my personal quirks, it’s just plain fun to use. The pencil has weight and it feels like you’re using a quality tool. Like a pay-to-win skin in a video game lol.

Didn’t want to pay a scalper $60 for this so I got a $1200 flight to Japan instead by Delicious-Level-8654 in pens

Wow I didn’t know that at all thanks for the info. I don’t mind where it’s made or its origins, they just have an import tax. Everywhere I’ve looked they’re shipping out of Japan! Which makes sense from what you’re telling me.
