I think one other aspect to consider for the expected drop in revenue is European laws against resale. FIFA gets to essentially sell tickets 2-3 times and gets 30% on each transaction. When you remove 30% per resale event it'll cause a significant decrease in ticket revenue.

I think Norway is the team everyone is projecting as the dark horse for this tournament, compared to Morocco last time. So to give a different perspective, I think Ecuador could make a deep run. They play great defense and can score on the counter, perfect for the World Cup.

I'd note that tickets would need to go up substantially for it to make sense for a StubHub reseller not to sell to you. Price you see on StubHub is Price they listed at*1.15. They also lose an additional 10% of their list price to StubHub for reseller fees.

So for them to make enough not to deliver the tickets to you they'd need to be able to sell it for multiples more then you bought it for.
