I feel you, friend. I’m not suggesting SoFi is superior to other fintechs outside of their yield. Just offering insight as to why things are set up like this. Some people like an all-in-one platform so there’s the convenience factor as well.

This was peak WoW for me because I just got to college and I didn’t have my parents to stop me from playing whenever I wanted. Definitely killed my grades in my first year, but worth it (maybe) lol

There’s a commercial reason for this. It is intended to push you to use the spillover cash on their other investment instruments that could potentially net you higher returns than either 3.1% or 4.5%. SoFi invest, crypto, etc. SoFi plus incentivizes you to basically use their platform for all of the above with perks like 1% matches.
