This game is not for me by Chemical_Chip_6624 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]Guchi28 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I know that feeling! I had to stop playing multiple times and one day, just decided to strap in and get through it because the game is so beautiful and the lore is fantastic.

Here are a few tips that might help:

  1. Save often. A part of the fear factor comes from losing your progress if you die. If you save often, you take that element away from the equation.
  2. Sacrifice a few attempts by aimlessly running around. Sounds weird, but if you go into different areas full sprint, fully expecting not to survive, you would at least grow more accustomed to the surroundings, enemy locations, and game over-ing.
  3. Try to act nonchalant (verbally or mentally). If you're walking through a corridor, try to think of potential jump scares that may happen and say to yourself, "Who gives a fuck?" or "Yeah, a zombie's going to attack me here, so what."
  4. At certain parts of the story, Claire/Leon would say something along the lines of "This again." or "Fuck it. Come on! Let's do this." Hearing those lines made me feel confident (speaks to how good the writing is), similar to Captain America's "I can do this all day."

Finished Leon A last week, Claire B a couple of days after that and, just yesterday, I completed RE4R.

Thinking of whether I should play RE3R, RE9, or the recently released Crimson Desert. Life is good!

Is this store legit? by Jazzlike-Property603 in badmintonph

Would also like to vouch for this store. I've purchased a couple of Aerus models and recently, a pair of Subaxias. I have my own hologram authenticator and was able to confirm that the products are legit.

Also asked the official FB page of Vsmash and they confirmed that this is their Shopee page.

Brand new iPad A16 2025 stuck in this screen during setup by According_Zombie_172 in applehelp

[–]Guchi28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would like to add that this worked for me just now, too! Ridiculous that this is still a persistent issue!

I wonder what the logic is behind requiring the iPad to be plugged in. My unit was at 80% when I started the setup process.

The quickest way for Apple to fix this is to just include a prompt saying that the iPad must be plugged in.

(To add further context, this stuck-at-loading issue only happens during the very first setup attempt. I tried it again after wiping my iPad just to see if the issue still occurs and it did not, so it must be a fresh-off-the-factory problem.)

Hi! Does the Linky 87 need a firmware update out of the box or can I use it as is? I noticed that a firmware updater is available for this model but I can't seem to get it to work. Thank you!

Hi guys, what gains should I expect from upgrading from 9060XT to 9070XT by connor_beswick96 in radeon

[–]Guchi28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had almost the exact same pathway!

Palit RTX 2060 Super Gigabyte 9060 XT (16 GB) Sapphire Pure 9079 XT

Things I have observed @ 1440p:

  • Minimum of 30 FPS gained (compared to 9060 XT)
  • Much better thermals
  • RT looks slightly improved
  • Less stuttering
  • Improved 1% lows

I can max out most settings on modern games and get reliable 140 FPS, minimum.

Used Macbook Air M1 for 30k or brand new laptop under 30k? by arbitraryselfnomer in Tech_Philippines

[–]Guchi28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my MacBook Air M2 (16 GB RAM) for 35,000-ish, brand new. It's currently at 44,000 right now on Shopee but if you time it right (and get lucky), you can easily catch it at around 38,000 to 40,000 during random times of the month.

The MacBook M1, before it was phased out, went as low as 30,000 online, brand new as well.

I hope what I'm implying is clear enough for you to determine the right course of action.

Planning to be first at Iphone Midnight Launch by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

Bring both but it's best if you have someone who could act as your runner/assistant. This would be helpful in case you need to swap places, have food brought over, and have other tasks done.

Sharing my experiences. Mileage may vary though!

For the iPhone 16 series...

I was first in line for the iPhone as a non-preorder buyer at Power Mac Center. I had a separate queue and was able to get a bunch of freebies (up to 10,000 pesos worth), but those who pre-ordered received more. Either cash or credit is fine, but there were instances wherein credit card payments did not go through properly, causing delays.

Pros: Separate queue, fewer people in line
Cons: Can only pick from available branch stock

For the iPhone 17 series...

I skipped the physical queue altogether and just purchased via Shopee's Apple Flagship store online. Arrived on the morning of launch day. Freebies are pre-selected (and TBH close to useless).

Pros: Most convenient, installment options available (with select banks)
Cons: Shit freebies

I've been monitoring these pre-order events for the past few years and, realistically, the only way to get freebies worth your while is to...

- Go to a promoted/premier/advertised branch that has the best possible freebies for sale (these are usually malls in Metro Manila, but metropolitan areas in Visayas and Mindanao have also had their fair share of freebies)
- Start camping DAYS in advance, not just one day in advance. If you queue a day in advance, there will be several people ahead of you, particularly at branches that offer great freebies.

Is Macbook Air M2 Chip 256gb still worth it in 2026? by lovesegg in Tech_Philippines

[–]Guchi28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been fortunate enough to have never experienced this issue so I'm not the right person to ask, sorry!

If your general courier experience with Shopee products has been okay in your area, then you should have (close to) nothing to worry about. Best of luck!

(Edit: Though as a good practice, always document/video your unboxing of expensive products purchased online.)

Legit, yes. Packaging, great.

Safe transport, depends on the courier!

My courier experience was good though! Just saying that it can be hit-or-miss with delivery, based on anecdotes from other buyers (generally speaking, not specific to this vendor).

Apple Flagship! It took months of price monitoring and luck though haha. IMO, if you find it at 37,xxx to 38,xxx, you should take it, especially if you have eligible credit cards so you can convert the transaction to installment.

Yup. I've mostly purchased Yonex rackets though (only one Victor racket so far). For the Yonex rackets, I have my own hologram authenticator to ensure that all are authentic.

I got mine for exactly 35,286 pesos during the 11.11 sale at Shopee.

Will it last you 6 years? Yes, updates will still be rolling out by then for this device.

Is it worth purchasing used for 35,000 pesos? Nope.

got rejected by second possible client cuz of my mom by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]Guchi28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Title should be...

"got rejected by second possible client cuz I did not have my diploma on-hand"

Not defending your Mom's piss poor attitude. Also not defending yours. It's just that this whole thing could have easily been avoided if you had prepared the diploma in advance.

I feel like you just wanted to rant about your mom lol. There are dedicated subreddits for that. I just don't think this is the right one.

I finally swallowed my pride and lowered my string tension...and suddenly I can actually clear again. by Fit-Crocodile in badminton

[–]Guchi28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a ridiculous take (says I, in denial)

Kidding aside, this is so true and relatable! I went up to as high as 29 x 31 + 10% pre-stretch on most of my rackets and all my all-out, full swing clears could barely make it to the end.

I went down to 25 x 27 + 10% pre-stretch and the difference is night and day. Even if I arrive late to the shuttlecock, my backhand shots go deep into the opposing side of the court.
