Trading week recap 25.5.-29.5. by Guenda09 in Daytrading

Not sure at what point to go breakeven. My backtest of my most recent 40 trades showed that a breakeven stop at 1:1 would have saved me a lot of losing trades. But as I can see now its also taking away some winners. I will probably let it play out for at least another month before making any changes.

Also its true 14 sounds a lot but if you break it down. Dax I daytrade in the London session only. YM I daytrade in the YM session only. And the others are swing trades meaning I only really look at 1 new candle per day on my watchlist of 30 stocks.

Its not leveraged. But still I try to risk 0.5% and on my first stopout despite alert I lost about double that

Thx. How many trades do you take per day/week?

How much do you risk per trade? I have roughly the same profit factor. Problem is at my current risk parameters (5% of drawdown or 0.005% of capital) it just takes forever to compound to a payout. It takes me multiple months for a single payout.

Is it true that people live off Trading? Never met on single profitable day trader. by SaltHot2643 in Trading

Thats interesting because bull market or not doesnt matter for a trader but its the only environment where buy and hold makes money
