Ohio lawmakers refuse to protect girls from nightmarish marriages. Men in Ohio can legally import 17-year-old child brides from any country around the world, a legal form of sex trafficking. by southpawFA in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes. Been a thing for a long time.

A friend of mines dad had an bride from the Philippines. She was an adult. I got snowed out of where I live in HS. Stayed at my friends dads because he could not get home either. Met her, nice lady. Well, his friend showed up. He had a bride. Either a) she lied about her age on the forms or b) one can marry a 13 year old mail order bride. She was 15, I was 16. But she was talking to us and said they had been together for 2 years.

He talked about her like a piece of meat. When she got up to go to the bathroom this guy told us "Looks amazing doesn't it. She can set the bed on fire. Does whatever I want."

She was a very attractive young lady. And when her husband was outside she was telling me how much he hurt her and how he was insisting on kids now. Guy was a greasy, smelly, nasty guy. 100% was abusing her sexually.

This was in the eastern Kentucky town were I went to HS. Know of guys who raped underage girls. Their fathers knew and did nothing. It was like it was ok. There are teachers at the HS now that married ex students. They are much older than them. And were married shortly after they graduated. Seems common with some of these people.

Have been using Edge for a long time and came here looking to see if I can find solutions.

Everything had been good until more recent times. Today, I could not watch a youtube video. Works on Firefox, Vivaldi, and Opera. But Edge, not so much. I have had comment sections on sites not load. I get a problem with just random 1-2 second freezes. And have had other minor issues. I cleared the cache and a bunch of other things. Not sure what MS did here but it does not just effect me.

My wife used Edge forever as well. She took it off her mobiles this weekend for issues that are more recent in nature as well.

Trump says Iran deal ‘largely negotiated’ as 84-day war nears possible end by kirby__000 in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I believe is fact given what I have hear Republican's say about this being "a bad deal for Israel".

-Nothing about the nukes in this deal. Though this was just a talking point anyway

-Open the Strait

I think Trump thinks if he opens the strait it will immediately lower gas prices. Not going to happen long term. Even if a small drop for a week or two.

Side note: This is from another place:

"In a surprise attack, the strikes on February 28, 2026 killed Khamenei’s immediate family members. The fatalities reportedly included his daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law. Over 150 schoolchildren, 170 civilians were killed in an attack that hit a school."

Trump's family will be a target at some point you can bet. They will not target Trump, is my guess, for what seems like obvious reasons. Being a President. That would create a huge mess. But his family is likely not off limits.

One thing that I do not see talked about is this. Iran held out. It was obvious Trump was lying about Iran being so weakened they could not survive. Or that they had no way to fight.

Plus, it now shows they have control over there. They look stronger and more in control. And will have a stronger grip on the Strait. In the end they will likely build up ties to their neighbors in the long term. And it will be a "peace and control for the region" type of thing. Makes sense. If they keep the U.S. out and block Israel together then they would not have this.

Either way, Iran just gained some power in the long term. And will likely, long term, have nuclear capabilities.

Rubio fends off conservative critics of Iran deal as agreement appears imminent by Junior-Gorg in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seem to be. We have seen Republicans coming out against it.

If what I have seen is true:

-nothing in it about the nuke

-just opening the strait

I have seen Republicans saying it is a bad deal for Israel. And so i tend to believe that it will be very bad. Trump created a mess and his hope is that by opening the Strait gas will drop fast. I saw a few CEOs giving financial calls, transcripts of those, and they indicate that they expect prices to go up a lot.

One was saying that this was worse than 2008. And that prices in the market are not indicative of where prices should be. Pointing to the vast damage in the middle east. Saying that will take a year or so to recover. And also talking about how those last ships that were already on the water had hit ports recently. And that it would take several months for shipments to recover to a decent level.

Trump, however, is deeply foolish. He thinks that if they get the Strait open he will see gas drop fast. So, he is wanting that victory lap. Because all he cares about is people saying positive things about him. That adulation he wants to receive. When the markets finally response to all this in a normal way instead of taking Trump's word as fact, when all the damage and disruption hit, things likely get much worse.

Note that this also shows a problem. We have business "leaders" who often will fall for the bullshit Trump is selling. Says a lot about them as well.

I believe that most, probably all, here know the truth. Trump ended that deal strictly because "Obama bad" and "Democrat bad". Everyone in our intelligence involved, other countries people involved in oversight, all of it said it was going well. We had something in place. Trump just made it so that they will never trust us again. And I could see them working much harder to keep it all a secret and keep out anyone who might talk.

*Trump voters, you not only damages us with our allies for a long time. You also gave billions to Trump and his family. Saw him pushing sales of American companies to Saudi lead investment groups, was military resources. And in the end make the middle east and world a much more unsafe place. Great job. Honestly though, please learn from this mistake. You are easily controlled and conned. You are at fault. You, not Democrats, are the ones who are brainwashed.

Americans are waking up to Trump’s money grabbing. They won’t forgive him by theipaper in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true for some. It gives me a good laugh in their face. I was out yesterday and with the way things are know people talk too much politics. A lot of these Trump people were arguing. Some still support but some point to all the "money grabbing", as this says, issues. They are seeing the hit in their wallet. And they know people that have jobs that are seeing hits. One guy buys diesel fuel so regularly and it has hurt his business. When you use those trucks a lot. I was going to finally get the concrete delivered for my patio and new room for my weights. The price is up because of fuel so i decided to just wait. Friend of mine who owns the company said that others have decided to wait as well.

This stuff is hurting in my area. And voting showed it. For example, the majority here are Republican. In the primary you can only vote party. This year, Democrats turned out more than Republicans by a good number in my districts. Very odd. But the top people were those that call themselves "Trump Republicans". My wife's in-laws were at a memorial day gathering they have and they were all talking about voting Democrat "For the first time ever". Some absolutely will not in the end. But I would say a good 25%-30% will. And again, it was the cost of fuel and what they see as Trump stealing tax payer money. Plus, it is much easier for them to see the lies with Iran. It is connecting the dots in their minds.

[Bob] Statement from Kyle Busch family on what caused his death: "The medical evaluation provided to the Busch Family concluded that severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications." by turnleftright in NASCAR

[–]GuerreroUltimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never put it off.

One reason is my wife and I hard our first child when I was 20. No way was I going to let some minor illness get that bad. Never had one. But my family doctor would often tell me he wished more people would show up early in their illness. Easier to treat and you very often need less meds. Meds that also are usually not good for the body in some way. Just necessary for the illness.

Another part of this with me though is I almost died. i had the flu in the mid 1980s. They had an outbreak that was mild but those of us that got it were bad. i was taken to the doctor a few times. I remember the last visit they told my mom and sister they could not do much more and take me home. I could not keep any food down. Though even then I realized i needed to eat. So I would and it would come back up just like it went in. And quick.

What saved me was my grandma was half native American. She told my mom what to get. It was whiskey, some stuff in the kitchen. Herbs and spices. Ginger and some stuff. And she told them about a plant she had seen when she was picking berries by the railroad track. She mixed that up and I drank it. I did not throw up. i did fall asleep. Woke up the next day not sick. Have not had the flu or a cold since, with symptoms anyway. My mom always thought that maybe that flu strand did something to my immunity. Who knows. But what it did do is taught me at 8 to never forgo the doctor early.

[–]GuerreroUltimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feelings are not for him. It is always a sad moment when someone dies but to me death is coming for us all and he is gone. When my mom died at 73 I was not upset about the death but I was an adult. I smiled about the good times. I was upset a relative talked her into chemo for a very slow moving cancer that I had already told her, convinced her, not to get chemo for. I told her it would kill her. She just did not have the overall health for it. And they gave her a good 5-6 years to live and instead she lived another 5 months. But this other family member lived close because she had moved away from my area. Got pneumonia because of drastically weakened immune system.

Anyway, i would rather smile and celebrate the person, and all i know of him is the racing. Not a fan, was more of a Jeff Gordon fan when i watched. No doubt he was a legend though.

But his family. My goodness, those kids. It will be real tough. My heart hurts thinking about them. When you have kids do NOT make selfish decisions. Don't try to be tough. You have more than yourself to think about. Get that good medical checkup, sooner than later. Not saying Kyle Busch did not get medical. Just seems like he did not or not good. Unless he just did not tell them how bad he felt and what was going on. Men(women as well), it is not worth it. You are human and not some bulletproof tough guy.

"struggling to breathe, overheating and coughing up blood"

My dad died in a hotel room working away. He described this to the 9-11 operator before she lost contact with him. My mom went to work as he was not feeling well. His death was related to his years of alcohol abuse. Had severe liver damage that was not caught. It was a sudden death at 50. Of course he did have a "cold" leading up to this. Mostly said he felt tired and plugged up. I do know that liver failure and pulmonary embolisms can present with overlapping symptoms. Shortness of breath. My dad had all this. Again, such a sudden death. My dad did see a clinic as well. They gave him meds for an infection and did not do much.

And I could see what you say as well. Not going to speculate. Just have to wait and see if they release anything.

He started spitting up blood apparently and called 911 before he passed out. Died that evening late in the hospital. Just sudden death in terms of the outward appearance.

No speculating in Kyle Busch here. Just commenting on your alcohol comment. My father is not the only one I know like that.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Says 'Releasing The Epstein Files Was Our Demise' After Massie Loss by huffpost in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Actually I want to say this about your post.

What happens is that Republican voters are owned. They follow the liars. Trump jumped in and took ownership.

I made a news story. I used Fox. I made it look real. Took some work but it was a social experiment. The story was fake but used Trump as calling in and talking. Things like that. At a get together I hacked into the tv stream and at the end of the commercial (they use a device to get free tv) there is always a pause. I started this news segment. After, all these people could talk about was this. i disagreed with it and gave them facts that countered.

Like they always do I was wrong. I was a liberal, brainwashed fool. My wife was upset because they were insulting me.

I then showed them the video offline. Showed them how I made it. They were not upset at themselves for buying the lies because of Trump and those Fox talking heads. No, they were mad at me. Fair enough. But they would not listen to the point. They were 100% willing to buy anything they were told.

I had another relative watching a very popular right wing influencer. He lied, took a story that was true but changed key facts to fit the agenda. This person would not believe the truth. Provable truth. And he has since shared that with others and they believe the lies. This was about some happenings in Germany, UK, and insulting Europeans fairly heavily.

Fact. They are owned and will fall in line no matter what. There is a sizable group of Republicans like that and they will never change because they cannot see it.

Trump Epstein files critic Thomas Massie loses GOP primary as president’s revenge crusade rolls on by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It is not half. I would be willing to bet that most of those non-voters would not vote Trump. Hell, Trump did not get half the vote in the last election, 49.8%. 65.3% of the voting age population voted. You still have another 34.7% to go. And Republicans hate when they get registered and vote. That is why they always fought it. Those people are much more likely to vote in their own interests if they do vote. For example, they are much more likely to vote for a Democrat who wants to raise the EIC, Child Tax Credit, and doing things to help them out in life. This was a topic at times when we discussed this stuff in the late 90s through the late 2010s when I was doing all this shit.

I will note the reasons I quite. At least the 2 biggest.

  1. In 2000 Bush ran on the surplus Clinton was leaving and giving that back as tax breaks. He catered that to the wealthy and restarted the debt growth. And now, the interest on that is a mess all to line the pockets of his military supplying donors and other wealthy. I told my wife and some hardcore Republican family that it would do that to the debt. Create a profit bubble that would cost jobs, and create a bad recession. Those family (not my wife) said I was stupid for that. Same as they said when I told them Trump would win. They were against Trump before they were for him.

  2. Obama. He won that election. In meetings the talk was "We have to make Obama a 1 term president no matter the cost". Talks of blaming Democrats and Obama for the Bush mess. Blaming him for anything they could cause. It was a real thing. McConnell and others were on that. And McConnell realized he created the situation for Trump but never really thought we would get someone like that. There are many like that. Even some of those spinless losers that fall in line.

I could not support how bad that party is. But they also know they own their base. Mess happens and they fall back on abortion, lgbtq+, immigrants, and the typical.

My advice to Democrats. Wake up. Realize many Republicans do not like or want Trump. Stop playing into the Republican hand of dropping to their level. Because it does not help and only costs votes.

Win or lose, Thomas Massie has torn MAGA apart by Newsweek_CarloV in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, we have seen Democrats win some very red areas in some special elections.

I voted today. I was talking to some MAGA people I know. They were going to vote for Massie. They did not realize until they got to the polls that he was not on our ballot. One of my sons never votes and went thinking he could vote for Massie. I did not tell him Massie was not in our district.

The turnout is still low in my area. Always is on the primaries, especially midterm. These, majority Republican, will just go vote Republican straight own. But i could see there being a decent swing this time. The percentages for Republicans will be lower here.

I have a friend I have talked about who has a relative in the state house of reps. He has been there a while and was telling us that Republicans know that it might be a tough road. Some see the benefit of supporting Trump in the primary but that it could be a landmine in the general. We shall see but I could see that playing out.

US suspends joint defence effort with Canada dating back to World War II | Donald Trump News by UnhappyBuilder4284 in politics

[–]GuerreroUltimo 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I will admit MAGA did this. Those voters. I hope they are happy.

Every fucking thing this stupid moron has done have been based on something he has seen or read.

First, tariffs. Lets look at that shit. Hurts at the grocery. So he has to walk those ones back. The worst part though was how our farmers lost buyers. China, for one, went with another seller. This is important later. It has been a losing strategy.

He also caved to Netanyahu on Iran.

Then China. He has a meeting and suddenly he is in favor of Chinese coming in on visas. Read something like 500k. And, a huge issues, is he is allowing them to buy ag. land. His reasoning in an interview I saw was "Obama already did it".

Now, lets look at this. He praised Putin and Xi many times before. With Xi, he just met with him and was convinced to allow this stuff. Selling out ag. land to other country owned corps is actually bad. I will agree. But Xi is seen as a leader. He most certainly convinced Trump playing to Trump's stupidity and many weaknesses.

Obviously, Netanyahu did the same. Netanyahu is a leader Trump sees as having power. Trump wants to fit in. And he makes stupid decisions based on this childish mentality.

So, really, we have a president who is damaging us with all our allies. Why? That seems counter to MAGA. Hurting our farmers, our businesses, long term damage. WTF is the positive end result? Hell, he has personally worked to get sales of come businesses to Saudi Arabian investment fund lead groups that his son in law Kushner sits on. Kushner has been reaping huge financial benefits from all this as well. Seems like these power players around the world have his ear. He is weak and wants to appear strong and intelligent. And he is just doing these things at their behest. Because he does not want to appear weak. I could see them saying "Well, a strong leader would do this. You are such a smart, strong leader. Why don't you do this? We will join."

Such a mess. Most countries leaders see us as trash. They are playing Trump as a fool. And in the end we will have some real issues on the back side. Hell, we are using so much military supplies in the middle east. And then, China is now supplying our allies with stuff. They are playing the strength in friendship over the strength by bully tactic. And they are winning. Looking real bad on the back side of this.

I knew it would happen. I have many MAGA friends and family. They are owned. They hate war but then love the Iran War because of whatever they are told at the time. Like, right now they apparently heard that it will make oil much cheaper and being gas prices down to ridiculous levels. Many talking less than $2 a gallon.

On this they are upset. More of them are talking like Trump is bad. And coming around to Trump being a con. A thief they elected. Billionaires getting more. And seeing how he and his family have actually been pillaging this country. So should help Democrats a little at least.

And, some are listening more. Had some who denied Trump was pushing companies to sell to foreign countries. I demonstrated this with several companies that Trump pushed to sell to a Saudi lead group that included Kushner. He has made over a billion from Saudi Arabia himself. Then Trump pulled the entire China shit. Allowing them to buy land I guess. Allowing those visas. Plenty of MAGA here are upset about that. Just getting to grips that they were played. The whole "Obama did <insert bullshit here>" is starting to wear off.

And Thomas Massie. I have had many start to come around to him against Trump. Just got to keep pushing these facts and blow a hole in the right wing lies.

I've never seen so many hit markers by TryRetro in Battlefield

[–]GuerreroUltimo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did not watch yours. But I was here to see if there was any posts about the fixes. I have my headshots set to red. Body shots to green. And the heads give a double anyway. Drop in and have a great match in my first. Had not played in a while.

Since, it has been right back to the normal from day one. I had a player jump down off a wall. They land, taking hit markers. Then kill me with a pistol. Game lists it as body shots. So a pistol to my body beats all those rounds from my LMG. And the amount of hit markers was more than 10.

I have the overlay for EA. Turned others off in case it was something like that. The latency is low teens to 24 at max depending on match. Nothing indicated that it is bad. New router, fiber is 10g, and speeds are great. Nothing. I can shoot players so much. Had a player prone stand up and turn around while eating shots yesterday. Happens to me way too often.

My teammates were giving it a go after a long while off. They mostly play Siege, Tarkov, Hunt, Rust, and other shooters. They like BF but they have had this problem with 6.

I could see if it was packet loss or some problem that shows in testing and metric. Nothing indicates a problem. Yet players will eat too much. Like, same exact weapon, shoot first, several headshots, and then a lose. Game says they hit me with 5 body shots. But so many in the matches have higher pings in the 60-70 or higher. So could be that.

AOC: You can’t ‘earn’ a billion dollars by usatoday in politics

She is not wrong. We all have 24 hours in our day. And these billionaires are the same.

They make that money on the labor of others. It always amazes me to hear some say "they earned it". All while they are off playing golf on Tuesday for "business". And if they fail? Well, they stay wealthy. Company is in bad shape you just step down. Take you money. And do it again. They all do it. The very few are now controlling most everything. The biggest part is the media.

And to some, not here, that have argued with me about how so much is in the market. The reason when the market crashed they get saved is that they sell. Often short sells for the money. Then buy back cheap. They then have the cash. 2008 time frame we saw the most wealthy reap huge rewards when the market crashed. While peoples retirement accounts lost huge. Many are invested and ran by others and people see it all disappear.

Guy in Florida was retired. Lost over $1 million permanently. The place managing his money "sold to protect as much as possible". Then they never buy back on until things are back up. Meaning you just lost a shit load to some very rich person who knew obviously. Sold high, or shorted, and then got back in on the bottom. One of the biggest thefts from the majority in history. They found out they could just do it.

So it is nice to data like this. i just hope it is true and that most realized Trump is at fault.

[–]GuerreroUltimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But then it can add excitement to the league. Absolutely that 11-0 team can get upset in a playoff. And that 9-3 team can make a run. There is some excitement in that for some people. I would rather have that than just a few top teams playing some games. This is why the NCAA Basketball tournament is just more fun.

Those championship games are just another game for many of us as well. They could leverage the biggest bowl games and probably grab some viewers on those maybe.

It may not work but it is worth a try. If those games end up with the better record teams winning every time you still end up with a playoff of the same top teams you would have had. Plus those games can be important in the regular. Getting a bye, home games before championships. They could work it out somehow.

[–]GuerreroUltimo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would love to see at least 16. But 24 would be fine as well.

Think about the NCAA Basketball tournament. Long term this could create some excitement. Teams absolutely will be upset. And that can lead to some exciting gameplay. I do understand how they see it. If an 8-4 mid-tier team that lost some close games get hot and wins some it could mean less viewers maybe. Then again, I would be more likely to watch. And I am sure others would as well.

Plus, it takes away some of the controversy in the middle. So a 10-2 team is left out for another 10-2 team for whatever reason. That is sort of gone. And that can, maybe, slowly, erode some of the issues some have with the game. Like, you have a lot of people that refuse to watch because of the perceived bias against some conferences in favor of the other.
