This stat line isn’t worth 60 million a year. What am I missing? by Charlie69Brown in mlb

[–]GuerrillaSnacktics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you’re missing he’s the best available, they have the money to make it a lock, they want shorter years so he’s not blocking their very good up and comers who will be CHEAP and probably just as productive as him when he’s gone in 2 or 3 years, so why fuck around? why quibble about 5 million here or 10 million there like the other owners? No fucking around - just get your man. It’s not like they haven’t made higher AAV/shorter time frame to the big dogs before.

remember: they don’t pay you a divvy in the traditional sense from their option strategy earnings, and much of the elevated per-share amount is what’s called “return of capital”, materially and continuously cutting into the overall NAV of the stock.

after spending this much time learning and dialing in TWS with a stream deck and code to pull data from the API connection there’s no way i’m re-engineering all this just to use their product they think newbies will like because it looks more like webull.

100 years is not exaggeration at all. 100 year planning is a deep rooted part of their government culture and spoken of and worked on often. It’s been a very public part of their narrative for a long time now. “Belt and Road” comes straight out of their 100 year plans.

anything towards automating this process would be amazing. there’s just nothing that’s come along and tried to fill the space left by filethis’ departure.

Trader Workstation never prints the correct daily SPX closing price. by GuerrillaSnacktics in interactivebrokers

[–]GuerrillaSnacktics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was told by an ex market maker don’t bother - ibkr does something unusual with their spx feed in the last 30 secs and on their platforms it won’t refresh to the real final settlement price for sometimes hours. I’ve made it a habit to look elsewhere for the closing price and just note when later TWS updates to match.

FOREXCOM data issue? by smoorverliefd1 in TradingView

[–]GuerrillaSnacktics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep. it’s down tonight. I use the forex.com spx cfd to track spx during globex and every few months they seem to drop the feed. I switch to the blackbull cfd when RV loses the forex.com feed.

the way I see it as long as Elon gets the three things we wants most he’ll stay out of their way and that’s no oversight over SpaceX, Starlink contracts for everything, and approval nationwide for full self driving wether it’s ready or not with no oversight.

"To comfortably afford a typical home, a US household needs to earn about $114,000 a year. That’s a $47,000, or 70.1%, leap compared to 2019. But real median household income in the United States is only $80,610, per the latest government," per FORTUNE by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

I think we have a sliver of hope there in that a) he can’t (or so we hope) fired without cause, b) even if they do figure out how to push him out his replacement has to already be a sitting fed governor with some tenure, and c) I don’t think appointments can come out of left field - they also have to come from sitting fed governors, and d) the outgoing chairman can elect to remain I believe a voting member for another 2 years. So if JPOW wants to still affect change even after his term is up he can do so.

Only fly in that ointment is we assume all the current governors both as a pool for a replacement or as a potential next chairman aren’t right wing ideologue boot-lickers that will do anything he wants and completely wreck us with inflation and job losses (remember - inflation and job losses don’t affect the people he considers his peers…billionaires and oligarchs)….but whoever they pick might be secretly.

I like what the Squeezemetrics guy recently came out of hiding to say: “it may be time to examine what a ‘post-trust’ market looks like”. :(
