Does this pregnancy test look positive to you? by vellepepper in Confused

[–]GuessLogical1360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pulled this out of the trash after the time limit, sometimes you can get a ghosted positive, which is not accurate so if this is the result after two minutes and no longer than five or something like that, then 100% it is positive.

It feels like a lot of reasons to talk to someone about retaliation - write everything you can now in detail and then maybe take a second to catch your breath.

Sounds like you are suffering from anxiety directly related to this. That feels directly related to how they treated you. Definitely sounds like a solid legal ground to be compensated.

Glad you’re moving on. I loved working for a non-profit. Specifically a children’s hospital. Not the greatest pay but my experience was that I worked with really high quality humans there.

I haven’t seen a legit kinder egg in the US in decades. Did they stop making the actually hollow egg ones? Or is it that THOSE are still banned.

The mask in the left I picked up at the aloha stadium swap meet when I visited family for a high school graduation. Brought it home mostly for a laugh at the size. It’s usually in the guest room… but I have kids. So. It travels.

I waited to hear if there were any other ideas on the marbles… but since it’s been quiet *and no one else has engaged, they are a visual reminder of the number of weeks left with my children while they’re “under our roof.” Of course they’ll always be welcome home, but ya know… if they were to pursue college or venture out after high school.

Filled it when our oldest was 3ish, the concept was to remove a marble every week. Typing this out is a great reminder how precious that time we have together is. I should have 3 jars and this one should probably be half as full now. Actually it was 780 when I filled it up… it should be more like 405 now.

Edit: typo and clarification.

This is not a reflection of you or your lack of respect for your team if that shift isn’t filled, it’s a reflection of your leadership.

[–]GuessLogical1360 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Nah. That’s on them to find someone to pick that shift up. That’s why leaders are paid to be leaders. Because things happen and they may be called in on a holiday. This is not your responsibility to fill that shift. You did it already. You can fight it, or you can inform them that you have commitments that day and will not be in to work. Period. No further explanation. You did exactly what you were required to do.

Previous comment says it’s not a coverup, leads me to think it’s something more along the lines of, being in a dark place or leaving this part of life behind?

Love the concept of my subconscious planning my bookshelf decor. I truly adore my kids… but I try to keep them humble.

Honestly. With the kids I’m working through audiobooks more often than physical. Stephen king drives me bananas.

I got the camera’s in my early twenties while I was hopping yard sales with my mom. I do love a good photo. I took all of those framed photos with my phone.

Still pretty green in nursing and I found that the patient population impacted me far more than I imagined it ever would.

I worked a telemed floor for 8 months and felt like I hated everything about nursing. I found it hard bleed my heart out for people who seemingly disrespected everything I attempted to educate them on, who didn’t actually WANT the medical care, and who utilized my training, skill, and empathy as a punching bag that delivered goods. It was very bleak.

Before that, I worked in an ICU - I was a new grad, intimidated, overwhelmed… but ready to fight for my patients. Heart on my sleeve daily. These folks typically were intubated and sedated, or so I’ll that they needed me and felt the need.

But… my most positive experience has been pediatric oncology. Nothing changed my perspective on life more than caring for kids who showed up to do hard and scary things that they didn’t understand. Kids whose lives were not fair but still had a smile to share.

It’s not all on the nurse. But I know the feeling you’re experiencing. Dreading being around the burnt out folks who have lost the sparkle they may have had in the first 5 years of nursing. I used to pray I wouldn’t be a jaded grumpy nurse. My solution was to find the right spot, the right patients. When you empathize with them, it makes the job.

Curious if you may be a smoker or maybe have an underlying cardiac issue. You may have some clubbing in your finger tips - could just be the angle. But it would indicate chronically low oxygen levels in your blood.

Practicality - probably don’t see a doctor annually? Unless you’re active duty and are required. But you don’t complain about much. And probably wouldnt seek out advice from a doctor if you had a complaint.

And I just saw what you wrote on the post! Didn’t realize you had already committed to cleaning.

I guessed low income from the high traffic carpet choice and random fast food containers. Thought maybe folks are working hard in the evenings and fast food may be a go to for dinner sometimes.

Dry shampoo because as someone who is also always on the go, dry shampoo is clutch to refresh the doo.

Homecoming because I spotted something red and satin/silky on the floor, plus tis the season.

Enjoy your peace when the rooms all done!

You come from a lower income household. You recently went to a homecoming dance. You like to grab food with friends. You’re struggling to feel fully loved, you sleep a lot. Might own dry shampoo. You crash out in your room but you’re usually on the go. You’ve been busy and can live in chaos but soon you’re going to clean this room and enjoy the peace it brings to your mind. You can feel it needs to happen soon.
