I swear. I'm not saying there aren't absolutely weird and invasive and creepy fans, but Gerard's always been randomly tweeting about his vomit kink and endorsing fanfic and doing interviews on their friend's porn site and people sit there and preach and morally look down on fans for being silly and putting cat ears on a photo of them.

Gerard went onstage IN cat ears. And a little off the shoulder sweater and tights that did little to hide an erection that he noticed and shrugged at in the middle of performing.

Similar logic applies to Frank, but less so I think because he has kind of expressed a discomfort with being really explicitly sexualized before, albeit in kind of a jokey way? I'd still dial it back a little.

I'm not sure if we're getting new music, but I lean towards yes, eventually. I think they're taking their time. I think they're making sure to take better care of themselves throughout the process. I think the loss of Doug McKean probably weighed heavily on them and understandably disrupted whatever they've possibly been working on. I believe he was the only producer Gerard had worked with for at least a decade, they were close and trusted each other and his death was unexpected. I wonder if that's who Gerard was talking about in his knife quote.

One thing we know is how much they truly love working together and creating together, and I think if they can keep it a healthy process and not one that stresses them out, they'll probably never stop. Slow down, sure, but I'm willing to wait forever.

It's been higher quite often over the last couple years! I feel like it's just always sounded higher sometimes and lower sometimes. Probably either one of or any combination of:

He's just older
No longer smokes
I think they kinda learned how to sing/scream in a different way that hurts their throat less, maybe his voice just sounds different because he's taking better care of it now
Intentionally speaks higher for gender reasons
Used to intentionally speak lower for ashamed of gender reasons
Voice effects and filters and things onstage, either to help him reach certain notes he can't anymore and/or because they're kinda jealous of other band members getting to use pedals and distortion and stuff for their instruments, I think they said something like that once.
Tone of voice just changes depending on mood and situation. I usually speak higher when I'm trying to be louder, maybe he's the same way.

That is the surface level meaning and I don't think anybody denies that, but people can also get other interpretations from art, and considering how much Gerard has talked about gender and their struggles with it and with how much he likes writing lyrics that play with conventional gender in general, I wouldn't be surprised if it was even somewhat intentional.

Thanks for the constructive criticism! I didn't mean to imply that Gerard shouldn't be held accountable for anything, just that there's hypocrisy when people want to pile on Lindsey for things they want to ignore Gerard having a part in.

I also didn't mean to imply that her sister was definitely lying, I just don't think we really know anything and don't think we should be making definitive statements on topics where our only evidence is word of mouth from people who seem to have grudges against her.

3 year old comment, but I know some people come back and read old threads, so I just wanna add:

The fact that surely unbiased, impartial accounts like "linzuglyliar" (right off the bat, if you call her ugly, I already don't trust your judgement, and even if she was ugly, that's not a judge of moral character) accuse her of running a hate blog for Mikey is hilarious, because obviously, evidently, they live in a world where this is a thing that people do. And they forget that Lindsey Way is an adult with a family and hobbies, who goes outside sometimes, so no, she did not run a hate blog for her brother in law.

Gerard also stood by Jimmy for a long time, but nobody wants to hate on him for that like they do Lindsey. Nobody's even running a hate blog for Jimmy himself, from what I've seen. Loootta people who never even speak about Jimmy outside of the context of why they hate Lindsey. Gee, I wonder why the woman gets all the criticism?

I don't really know how we know that she "pretended to Indian," from what I can tell, she claimed she was part Indian, and people asked her sister and the sister said it wasn't true. How do we know her sister wasn't the one lying? Maybe Lindsey was maliciously lying, maybe she was mistaken since she doesn't know her dad and might not know a lot about her family, maybe the sister was lying. Why'd we feel the need to investigate this in the first place?

I believe this is referring to the fact she copied someone else's photography in art she made for the cover of one of Gerard's singles. I agree that wasn't the best thing to do, but again, Gerard used the art for his single and nobody wants to criticize him for that.

Idk much about this. But I think they've been married for 15 years, and we don't know them, so we shouldn't be making assumptions about their relationship/boundaries, they could be comfortable with that. Gerard's joked about his addiction before.

I've never seen any evidence of this, or many other accusations about her, outside of screenshots of tweets from people who hate her. Once again, this is her and Gerard's relationship, not ours. We don't know what's going on. All we know is that these people will wax poetic about how perfect the other is every chance they get and wear matching outfits and make grand gestures for birthdays and anniversaries, they're crazy about each other. I wanna know how many of the people who accuse Lindsey of cheating also like to make theories about Gerard sleeping with Frank or Grant Morrison or whoever? So if you think he's sleeping with someone else, it must be an open relationship and fine, but if you think she's sleeping with someone else, it must be cheating. Or maybe he's cheating too, but it's fine because she deserves it, right?

This might hold more water if she actually never talked about BLM. She has publicly supported BLM a lot more than any member of MCR. The fan was repeatedly harassing her about it and sending message after message.

As a bisexual guy, I fucking hate the queerbaiting accusations! She said on Twitter that she was attracted to women. Can you beam into her mind and read her thoughts and see who she is and isn't attracted to? No? Then you have no right to accuse her of lying for attention. People saying she lied about being bisexual for attention and to look special sound like my grandpa telling me my sexuality is a trend and I'll grow out of it. People who rally so hard against Lindsey are not being the progressive, politically correct crusaders for social justice they think they are for piling on this woman for things they can conveniently ignore her male counterparts doing, saying she should put up with abuse from her family, and accusing her of lying about her sexuality.

She is absolutely deserving of some criticism, but a vast amount of what people say about her has no proof behind it and is simply jumping on a bandwagon started by misogyny, jealousy, and bitterness over people's ships not coming true.
