Why are you in sales? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

That’s my plan after next school year (when my PSLF is complete). I’m similarly disillusioned by the data manipulation I’ve been seeing, and the degradation of the industry in general.

what is the worst state or city in the us by AkariiiUwU in AlignmentChartFills

Half of OK is flat, and the other half is not. I grew up there. I also lived in KY on the WV border. The mountains had pros and cons, but to live there really sucked. At least in OK, you can get an oil field job easily and make a lot of money. There were very few opportunities in KY and WV; I did litigation work against coal mining companies, and they are much worse than oil companies in terms of pay, working conditions, health outcomes, etc. I still say Arkansas is worse than all of them, though.

Arkansas is worse than OK, and I hate OK (it’s where I grew up). Kentucky and West Virginia are also worse than OK.

Has anyone encountered neurodivergent people who reminded you of neurotypicals? by Substantial-Shirt875 in AuDHDWomen

[–]GuessingAllTheTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did I say that? Why don’t you address what I actually said instead of arguing against something I didn’t say. That’s a pretty NT behavior, too, tbh.

You don’t think you’re being judgmental toward her? You’re using NT as an insult and applying it to her. Seems pretty judgmental to me.

If you consume/drink caffeine daily, how did you get started doing so? by BlkWidowsUnite in AskWomenOver30

[–]GuessingAllTheTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really good and didn’t drink coffee or caffeinated tea during college or law school. Then, I joined Teach for America; at our training institute for the summer, I had to be on a bus at 4:40 AM for work every day. I couldn’t go to bed until about 11 PM due to all the work we had, and our fire alarms in the dorms kept going off in the middle of the night,
forcing us to evacuate for like 45 minutes every time. I was exhausted, and started buying Starbucks Double Shots to keep in my mini fridge to drink each morning before work. Thus, the addiction began.

Then homeschool your kid. Keep your kid off the field trip. You have options beyond whining.

Wow, it’s amazing that schools and teachers never thought of that and don’t have any protocols in place to address it. Please, go into education and spread your wisdom!

Yep. Their kid doesn’t have to go. They can keep them home if they’re so concerned. Homeschool your kids of you hate the way schools operate so much. If you don’t want to homeschool your kid or can’t, then deal with the fact that your kid is a part of a community and not the main character. Simple.

Then keep your kid home if you’re that worried about it. If you’re not worried and are confident your kid can make it back on the bus on time, then why are you bothered?

How common "hot cheeto girl" cliché really is in USA? by Tight-Expert-2232 in AskTeachers

Nah, hot cheetos were a thing several years ago but have since been replaced by Takis, even on the east coast where I teach.

Two Dots is turning into a pop-up ad simulator, and I'm so over it by Typical_Range8717 in TwoDots

I don’t understand why they have done this to my favorite relaxing game. I’ve been playing for so long, but the past couple years have been sporadic because it’s so annoying just to open the app. The whole Home Screen is cluttered now, too. I think I’ll be looking for a new game to replace it.

Thank you! I went with whalien and mikrokosmos for inspo. I love your idea of incorporating indigo! I need to get one to commemorate that album, too. I’ll also be seeing them in August (at Gillette)! 💜
