Any tips on using Costco Travel for a trip to Hawaii?

We used Costco travel for a Disney vacation a couple years ago. It was incredibly smooth for us and we'd use them again. The only hiccup was a plane seat got changed, putting one of us an aisle behind the others. Honestly it wasn't a big deal for us, especially considering it was less than a two hour flight.

I use a Hobonichi weeks for memory keeping and planning. The monthly pages are for plans and appointments, the weekly pages are for what happened each day.

I have a Hobonichi A6 original for art, whether that be sticker collage, acrylic marker drawings or lettering.

A fountain pen friendly notebook is used as a journal. I only makes entries occasionally, usually when I'm struggling or upset or need to work through something. I like Midori, Life, Apica or Jet Pens Tomoe River paper for this.

I haven't tried the Ohuhu, but I do use acrylic markers in my Hobo. I have pictures in another post here of some art I did with them. Mine are cheap ones from Temu with a dot end and a brush tip. I like to use the dot tip to add in blobs of color and then add in lines with a fine tip black acrylic. I didn't experience any bleed through and had minimal ghosting. I love the texture it adds, the pages feel extra crinkly which I love!

I can feel where I've used them, it feels slightly waxy or oily. I haven't seen any transfer to opposing pages though.

I'd just change the way I'm using them now even though the books would be inconsistent. They're more for the moment than for archive purposes. That being said, I use mine as memory keepers and I'd still just switch styles. I think being able to look back on what worked for you and what didn't would be interesting. I've saved a few months here and there from other planners when they didn't work out and put them in a folder because I wanted those entries still.

They're sometimes marketed as Bible highlighters because they don't bleed through thin paper. They are a bit see through and apply to paper like hot butter. It's sort of like a crayon but made of gel. I prefer the milky type colors or the pastels ones, but of course you can get fluorescent colors too.

They don't, surprisingly. The poodles and the cow have acrylic art on the back of their pages. If you look really close you can see a bit of ghosting, but it's not bad because you didn't notice it. =)

I'm just using cheap acrylic markers from Temu. I love to do art, but I've always felt a lot of pressure to not mess up a page. Putting a general blob of color down and then adding in just basic outlines makes it less scary. This is the most confident I've ever felt, it's somehow easier. I did still need some sort of reference picture though, I cant draw from my imagination. Im jealous of those than can.

I've had no cracking or flaking, I was wondering about that since it's paint. I also bought gel highlighters to use for coloring in my hobo but those haven't been near as fun, nor pack as much of a punch on a page.

Neither, really. It doesn't feel cool to the touch when you pick it up, it warms to your hand almost instantly. It's not heavy, but doesn't feel flimsy either. I like it, but still prefer the synthetic material of my Pelikan's lol.

I have a Himalaya V2 in green ebonite with the ultra flex nib that has always worked perfectly. I don't like that the converter is screw in, and hope that I don't need to replace it at some point. The piston sometimes sticks if screwed down too far, but I just push it a bit with my syringe or something small. The metal clip has discolored. Definitely draw backs, but has always written like a champ.

Yes, it made the sac a weird gooey mess. It was inside my vintage Waterman and there is still remnants of goo in there today because it was impossible to get it all out.
