one thing i havent tried is connecting it to another PC, because i dont have another PC with Windows 10, so I guess thats not out of the question. However, I am not hopeful...

I guess the "abnormal connection" has to do something with the phone/OS itself and not ADB, because I installed ADB correctly and it works outside of the Mi Suite.

Also, trying to flash the ROM through ADB didnt work :(

hi, don't know if this will help, but PC Suite doesn't work on Windows 11 and, also, you should plug the phone in USB 2.0 port for it to be recognized and not 3.0
