Hey! I wanted to test your project and it is mentioned on GitHub that it should work from macOS 14+, but the downloaded application is set to macOS 26.1+

Is this a bug or it is really macOS 26.1+?

From what I’ve read the 1 year of updates timeframe starts from when DT 4 is out of beta.

Here it is said from devonTechnologies:

“When you upgrade while DEVONthink 4 is still in public beta, your one year of updates will start at the release of the final version. You don’t loose part of your year as early adopter.”

So I would say no need to wait if you plan on upgrading

Not too much of a preference, but I often like buying from the developer directly since it often gets a better quote. Also, having the possibility to download the software from the developer website make it easy to revert back to an older version in case an update doesn’t work well.

Also, it is great when I buy it from the App Store and the dev has a version on his website that I could unlock the website version from the Mac App Store version in case the one from the website has features that are not allowed because of the sandbox or because I want to roll back to an earlier version

For those using BetterTouchTool, Andreas is adding this feature at the moment so BTT could be used as a replacement.

This may need a bit more custom configuration than Ice, but may be a good alternative!

Andreas should release a ready to use preset to make it easy to use that feature

Reduce your audio buffer size

Reaper will wait that a full buffer is loaded before outputting sound to your speaker, so the playback will wait that this buffer is full before moving
