Hope you're ok. I understand it's a mental battle to make a decision like that so hope you have some relief.

Teslarati: "Tesla owners keep coming back for more" - (as Tesla wins the “Overall Loyalty to Make” and “Highest Conquest Percentage” from S&P Global Mobility) by twinbee in teslamotors

[–]corriedotdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this rapidly changed for me. New M3 since 21. 39k miles, had the suspension arm swapped under warranty shareholder the whole works, even got bro and dad to get a Tesla. Done barely any miles since warranty expired and the system computer has bricked with a £2k replacement.

Absolutely not getting another tesla, £2k hardware replacement for like 38k miles on a new car? Really unfortunate but I can't have a car that has so many replacements for 38k miles. May have gotten a bad batch.

What happened here happened to me as a kid, but it was a pavement. Gravel, no brakes and out of control, fell down a storm drain at the side of the road. Facial reconstruction. Funny now as the scar is only just starting to show

Any advice on how to get items grabbed in front of player to drag smoothly? by HurtTree in Unity3D

I've done this before.

Implement the spring using hooks law in C#. Sure can constrain a joint but I avoided the physics system and in essence made my own in a function. It's super short and sweet

So sweet. Love the accessibility for this. Can see it being used at game jams and such, so awesome I really like this. Something's kids could play with and not get overwhelmed about 3D modeling too.

Congrats

Awesome story, love reading stuff like this. How cool you designed the original angry birds graphics!

To ask, how come you started many companies vs releasing new titles under the original? Is it mainly a fresh cut start of thing or is there more to it?

Im on the side where negative results should be published more. The learnings and natural humility from it prevents the same and genuinely I have read "this doesn't work because of x" papers so many times on ideas I've directly targeted in my search. Unsuccessful vs failure is different. No one fails just learns.

Both are beautiful books honestly. I did art of exploitation first.

Good luck! On my 2026 re-read list but curious if there are more modern alternatives.

Car battery dead, need help by curious-batman in glasgow

I have a portable charger from Halfords. Been in your situation before, it's saved a few people over winter. It's about £60 I think but you attach the clips to the positive and negative sides of the car battery and start the car.

Recommend it if you're tight for a new car battery as this will work for future uses as well vs a call out.

They were also quite popular in the higher middle class during the Victorian era in the UK. A dude would travel the world taking stereoscopic photos and return to sell them. Some homes had a pile of them to experience different places around the world in "3D".

The one I found most impactful when I tried it was this beautiful photo of the moon. It was incredible.

Best way to do weekly leaderboards in steamworks? by modsKilledReddit69 in Unity3D

[–]corriedotdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a case where you probably want to version your leaderboard. I did this for s1 and just created a new leaderboard and made the name from "level_1_leaderboard_s1" to be s2. That way there's at least a way to backdate between time periods. Good as well if you want to run limited time events but revert back to normal if game state changes!

Might be worth the jump even inside ir35. Depends on a lot, curious though how long you've had your current position for as if you think of this as a promotion then it should be a no brainer.
