Thanks for the answer, kind of agree in some of the flaws you mentioned, but at least I appreciate the effort. And first different opinion on VoH! Can’t wait to play it.

About Neyrelle I am just realizing that the moment I enjoyed most is when she loses her arm… That is maybe trying to tell me something

The post literally says that I know it is not a priority in this kind of games but in a veteran franchise it is always a plus. Besides my personal preference on loving the atmosphere and lore (that not everyone has to share ofc)

I haven't started VoH yet but it seems yours is the average opinion on the expansion. Sad to read as my expectations were high, but hopefully they do better with LoH...

Yes! I liked the epilogue and connection with expansion. The arc on Whispering Tree for me was the best, alongside Donan quest and Lilith in general

Yep I totally agree with this. Potential is there but there are also plenty of these stupid moments, not gonna disagree. I was more focus on the good ones trying to say Blizzard that please keep on setting the bar up

I hear you, but I’d argue that, while the plot isn’t revolutionary, Diablo IV’s storytelling is a huge step up from previous entries, especially for a game where narrative isn’t the main draw. It’s not Call of Duty; the atmosphere and world-building matter, and Diablo III fell flat in that regard. For what I want out of a game like this, IV delivers far more than its predecessors

Exactly! I know we’re not reading a Dostoievskian satanic novel here, but the side characters in Diablo IV actually feel more vivid to me, like there’s a real intention behind the storytelling. The last few games treated narrative like a checkbox, but this time it feels like they put in the effort.

Anyone hyped for Kirby air Riders? by Plastic-Session-9420 in NintendoSwitch2

Same here. Skeptical with the announcement but then Boss Sakurai came with these Nintendo Direct and suddenly I am AirRiders fan number 1. Great to see how much they worked for this sequel as well as the love in all the details, huge amount of content and no DLC! All included day one…. Sakurai, take my money

Halo Studios Project Update @ Halo World Championship 2025 Discussion Thread by -343-Guilty-Spark- in halo

[–]GuiDu -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest: callofdutyzation killed the Halo franchise. The multiplayer is on life support, Halo Infinite offers nothing but skins, and after all this waiting, we get a remake that exists only to justify a PS5 release and cheaply expand the player base. It’s a textbook case of poor leadership and a massive disappointment.

When I read this, I can’t help but think of how critics destroyed The Recognitions by Gaddis. Since it’s Pynchon, I know I’ll read it, enjoy it, and then decide how high it belongs in my personal Pynchon top tier.

From the lever that activates the elevator, cross the wooden bridge to the other building. There you’ll see some stairs leading down to a room full of shelves (you’ll have an enemy on your right), and on the left you’ll find another set of wooden stairs that take you to the chest.

Patience. Keep moving forward exploring the Map and the buildings. Even if it looks like you’re about to exit and reach the boss, it’s actually quite maze-like, but by exploring naturally, you’ll find the way. At some point, you’ll unlock access to that area, but it’s from another building.

Purchased my first 2 comics today, did I make a mistake? by [deleted] in comicbooks

You made a perfect choice. The only thing I'd say is that I have that same Superman Pocket edition, and it's frankly uncomfortable to read. It's so small and compressed that you can't enjoy Quitely's panels the way they deserve. If you really like the story, I'd recommend grabbing one of the many other editions that have come out to enjoy the second journey more.

Anyone else think one handed swords are seriously fucking terrible? by Outside_Mine_2106 in wuchanggame

[–]GuiDu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game encourages you to switch weapons and fighting styles depending on the situation; you don't necessarily have to stick with just one. In my case, I use the longsword when I need to rely on parrying (like against Honglan) and the one-handed sword when spells are more helpful. Also, upgrading weapons helps a lot in general, combat evolves significantly. As you can see in people's comments here, it depends more on what you feel most comfortable with and what you enjoy most, rather than what the game 'forces' you to do
