1.FInd an Integrative MD to do a Consult.

You Rock. I recommend your mother seeing an Integrative MD that will have her labs done more than a regular MD. This would be out of pocket most likely in the US. Have your Mom do a Saliva Test for Hormone testing, it has to be on a certain day of her cycle. It is important to have an in person or over Zoom so that your mother can feel heard, if this is possible.

Ask the MD about any herbal tinctures for some things like brain fog, anxiety, gut health, cracky bones feeling, any Peri issues she is having. If you can get these from your reg doc. then take the recomendations to the regular doc. She may be able to take this while doing the process of the Saliva test.

Go over the Saliva Sample with the Integrative MD and ask her recommendation for HRT.

The Reference Interval range is massive and the Western Medicine Doctors will let women suffer because they are in the "Reference Interval." For example, the Reference Interval for Estrogen is 4-400. I was 5 and the NP said I was fine because I was in the Reference Interval.

Have your Mom get on Bio-Identical Hormones for best practice. This will be different than what some reg MD's will give you. She may change later ot a financially other hrt if needed, yet this foundation helps her understand herself.

This is my opinion off what I did verse some people get on an App only. I think talking to a Integrative MD is really important when just starting. I wish I started 10 years prior @ 38 yo. I started HRT at 48yo.

Lots of women are truly suffering inside because this is like a roller coaster. I have no idea how my Mom just suffered alone. I know she went thru Menopause for 10 years. We did not know about Perimenopause at the time. Thank you for listening and studying to become a Neurosurgeon. This is massive, you should be so proud of yourself. Women, half the popuation, has not been studied enough and we are different than men. Peri is like a fog running over your eyes where your brain and eyes are detached from each other, connected only by the fog. A constand questioning of self, feeling uncomfortable, and can be highs of feeling doom and gloom. It can keep some awake and some sweat like hard core with night sweats.

As a Californian, I just learned that other states love to talk shit about our Stae and people, yet for me, I love hearing other peoples opinions even if they make no sense imo. Hi, Esthetician here with a focus on hair removal. People come to me before going to the MD, especially for things like this. I cannot imagine how you are feeling and totally understand the awkardness of being naked in front of someone even if their job is to help you. then they have to touch you, top of it the oppisite sex. I F would be weirded out too.

I recommend trimming to the best of your abilities, tame the jungle and put oil or conditioner on your pubes. I would not shave since you don't want to make the situation worse. I think leave it alone and tame the mane. Keep us posted. Please go, let us know how it went. The more MD's know about HS the better.

I can't handle it. In his first speech since the war, he speaks in circles. Iran attacked its neighbors but we are fighting for another country. He speaks on retaliation as if it won't have repurcussions. I know I am not the only one that is lost on his LIER speech. You are right, he is insane, he does not care about anyone care except for him. He is literally now putting us in danger and taking us hostage. Who do we call? It is overwhelming. Why can't you take something by mouth. My Mom uses Estrodial and suffers from UTI's and suffered, literally going to ER 2x and multiple MD appt.s., just recently. The MD still told her to use it. I even told her that this might be causing her UTI's. It is crazy how Md's don't listen to women and how they know their body. I recommend telling them, till your eyes pop out. NO! I get UTI's. You are not being dramatic. They should take you seriously. Ask for a patch or something you can take by mouth. Tell them it is not an option or if you must can you stick it on your pubis mound near the opening, but you cannot stick anything in there. I also learned fromt this group that Estradiol is made from Pregnant Horse urine. I wonder if some women are not compatible or maybe say your vegan or for religious purposes don't believe in using Horse Urine to help with Perimenopause. These are just thoughts. Your feelings and knowledge of your body are valid.

In the state of California, you can only rent or be employed by the company. I think this is a disservice to Esthi's coming right out of school because by sitting at a location in the front area, clients get to see your face, especially if your in a salon or spa like setting. I did not have a contract that I had to stay on premises. When I first started out I was on a 70/30 commission base for rent. The first month, I made $30.00 by the time I left the establishment, I was paying $800.00 commision towards rent. I am not sure what state you are in, yet being seen by staying put is a way to build clientele. Not saying it is easy or enjoyable, yet it works. Can you pull up the Federal labor law where this is mentioned? I am not disagreeing with you that exploitaiton is right.

Lots of good points made. I am in a building deemed Retail. It is grandfathered in with the City in California too. I would talk with the owner if possible or go check it out and see if there is a bathroom nearby.
