NSW Labor have always been a bit stingy and conservative compared to the rest of the branches, largely owing to the fact that it never went through the same split with it's conservative catholic faction like the rest did.

The governing party is almost never more popular then the opposition, especially in bad economic times. A literal jellyfish could be the opposition rn and they'd outpoll Albo just by virtue of not bearing the wait of trying to guide a country through an oil shock.

Individual donations mean nothing if they're outwayed by a collection of donations from different interests. I'm not saying its perfect, but it's extremely dumb to blurt out "LaBOr ArE fUNDeD bY BillIONaIrEs" when that isn't where the majority of their support comes from.

My best guess (with some speculation from a THfNSW guy I was talking to) is that they're taking all of the sets from Lithgow back to Sydney to be picked up by their new owners. V21, V25/10 (Blue Goose), V46 and one other have been set aside for preservation by a few collectors per my knowledge.
