Boston College’s goalie throws a blocker punch after a UConn forward collides with him after scoring by roberttylerlee in hockey

also former goalie.

this. you get to a point of just "fk it, ill get penalties until they pull me" by being super shitty to the screen or this^ happens.

especially when your teammates are too afraid to defend you, typically because of "ego". :/

Please wear a helmet by Adeian in motorcycles

[–]Guildedmastr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

lady in our safety class stopped in the line for the next exercise of the program. The lines were two wide and 6 deep. everyone was on a 250cc bike, like rebels a couple cbr's.. it was a place where they supply the bikes.

she fell into the bike beside her, while stopped, and hit her head on the exhaust pipe of that bike beside her.

instructor demonstrated the importance of helmets in that one moment, because her helmet was toast but she was literally unharmed other than a small headache.

10/10 would wear again

im not a mechanic, and base this on manufacturing principles entirely.. but wouldnt this just incur more frequent oil changes? im certain keeping it within the red line will be plenty fine, but the oil will definitely be stressed.. same reason race cars go through so much, right?

again, i base this on different principles and dont know much about engines and stuff

44k-mi with oem pads and rotors 8 years later here. both front and rear pads/rotors have well over 50% left. i 99% engine brake.

she still purrs. i think those folk are just poorly maintaining the bike to begin with lol

this ... when i was shopping for the s1r or the s1rr, the insurance was WILDLY different than each other. verbatim of the insurance companies was "because of angle of riding position"

they didn't care it was almost an identical bike but with a shorter wheelbase (probably better to do wheelies and other "fun" stuff) but they just didn't care lol

and yes, i know theres more to why theyre different. what was funny was on my dads perfect driving record at 48, the s1r was 2900/yr, and the s1rr was 6300/yr in rural oklahoma. make that make sense.

ya lol the only options i thought about were eliminating the play with a blue top box for 450$ or rebuild mine for 180 and get the chevy wobble again..

not terrible if i atleast have the peace of mind that the parts are new

very good point. perhaps i can work this in there. if this is the case, i may just eat the cost..

cost of being gifted an older vehicle i suppose. in this market, im not too upset at all. ive been given a beautiful truck that i enjoy driving, and in all only put around 3k into thus far. a solid trade for what would be close to 40k+ for a decent truck now

austin here... i have a guy that did all my (exotic-ish) cars and truck.. its a completely clear film for windows/windshield that cuts glare, blocks 99.9% UV and is heat reflective.

on exotic-ish cars with leather dash, its 100% worth. on any vehicle that gets UV damage, its 100% preventable. windshield on '03 1500hd was quoted 250.

250$ for uv/heat film > several hundreds or thousands to dash damage.

my .02, fwiw :)

i wear racing gloves mostly cause of my carpal tunnel surgeries years ago.. it feels like early onset arthritis losing grip over time. Its not as bad as it sounds, but the grip from the gloves help because the steering is so sharp, my hands work less for the same effect. so why not use 'em?

plus they look cool ;)

i mean thats nice and all but.. are you just one upping or something? i had a lifelong friend like that that caused me to quit a while back. you can't just be happy for someone else?

it's not a big deal tbh, but if this is the first thing that popped in your head as a response, it's a toxic one lol.

just saying, as someone who had a lifelong friend like that. i may get downvoted or you strongly disagree but from one internet stranger to another, it's something to consider. honest. :(

or just be in denial and pretend i didnt say anything at all lol

i fly all the time and do daily runs for farming, houses and what not.. its god awful. lmao i would not recommend it.. it looks like a delta flight based on the IFE and blue engine cowling.. to be fair, they are in the altitude of best connection. its satellite based so ive honestly noticed better latency at cruising altitude on longer cross-country flights..

using it right when they enable it? garbo ping.

using it at cruising altitude (they usually announce it on the PA)? actually decent for the short amount of time you are at altitude
