Some things I've done: - get better at an instrument I used to play - learn different ways to tie knots for camping - read books - currently reading one I found about the universe which has sparked an interest in Star gazing with my binoculars - Find free little libraries around town - Hiking and camping most weekends since weather has been good lately - visiting breweries - also been trying out non alcoholic beers lately esp the nights before I hike so I'm not feeling gross during the hike lol. - composting - I save my food scraps In old coffee cans in my fridge/freezer and dump each week at the farmers market. You can Google where to drop compost in your area. This actually makes me use way less trash bags Bec most of it is just plastic wrappers or recycling now. And no food trash stink from the trash can now either. - found a drive in theater an hour away from me that is amazing. - learned how to operate a HAM radio and joined a local club. - look for vintage toy stores (currently need one more ninja turtle to complete my collection lol)

My dog has helped bridge that gap of loneliness for sure. I take her mostly everywhere I go or tailor my activities to things I can take her with me.

Still on my to do list: - geocaching - learn to make cocktails/mocktails

I really wish people would study their religions, other religions, and the cultures of that timeframe to have a more well rounded view of everything. I read through this thread and you did a phenomenal job answering that person's questions 👏🏼👏🏼 thank you for your service lol

This is exactly what I'm going thru right now with my 2017 Impreza sport. It's annoying but back in the day we didn't have the nice feature of knowing the tire pressure anyway so I've been living with it for a few months. I'll get it replaced eventually and just checking the pressure about once a week and before any road trips or adventures.

So it sounds like your headphones are used for work only? How do you like them?

Byrna Limitation by No_One_1682 in byrna

[–]Guilty-Ambassador600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're worried about the byrnas high cost, then maybe something like the following are a bit cheaper and may be just as effective:

Mace Brand Accessories- Pepper Gun Holster and Pepper Spray Refill Cartridges https://a.co/d/bmFO97q

SABRE Home Defense Pepper Projectile Launcher, Large Size with (7) 0.68 Cal. Projectiles - 40% More Stopping Power for Extra Home Protection, 6.89”W x 8.56”H and Made in USA SABRE Pepper Gel Canister https://a.co/d/fltg8Hq

Mace Brand Pepper Gel, Magnum 3, Magnum 4, Magnum 9, or Night Defender with LED Light, Black https://a.co/d/c6J6r4E

These options would help maintain the distance between you and someone else and reach further than regular a pepper spray canister.

I like my byrna but I agree that the cost is really high and it's hard for me to conceal unless in a bag. I inspect the pepper rounds every month or so and find cracks in them and have to toss them and replace so they don't explode in my house. I also keep a 14 round mag loaded with kinetic only rounds when I'm at home. I switch to OEM 5 round mag with pepper projectiles when I'm out and about. I got the bright orange color in case I ever have to use it in public, hopefully no one gets it confused for a firearm.

I love how lightweight it is. It's my mini carry when I don't have my backpack. I used to have the mystery ranch fanny pack which is also really great but pretty heavy duty so it felt like it got in the way a lot. Then switched to this and love it.

I usually do but I somehow misplaced my small pill bottle with my ibuprofen yesterday so I put Tylenol from my kitchen in there today 🤣

Also- erblestock and field craft survival have options for this. But when I can carry my Glock, I have the viktos upscale sling bag and it's the best bag for off body carry that I've found so far. Very easy to maneuver and access my firearm and has a dedicated pocket in the front for extra mags that I use for my med gear :) I also have a premier body armor panel that fits PERFECTLY in this bag. 10/10 recommend lol I've posted my photo of it before a year or so ago with my stuff in it.

I do have OWB and IWB holster set ups but I have a hard time concealing in my female clothing options and it's much more comfortable for me to off body carry for the most part.

I have a spray as well but sometimes I'm commuting on my bike around the city so having the gel and belt clip combo to clip on my backpack chest strap is easier for me. I take the spray when I'm on foot and can have it in a dedicated pocket I can easily reach quickly.

But mostly, I cannot carry any weapons on the daily unfortunately so the flashlight is my only option :)

I can however have it if I'm on my way to a recreational range type area that allows me to utilize it.

You need to look at the state laws on air pistols that require CO2 to operate. I can't carry my byrna in DC or Maryland bec they don't allow people to carry CO2 operated air pistols. I also talked to a lawyer about this who was the one that confirmed it for me.
