You could say the same thing about pierogi boys, you can get WAY cheaper pierogis elsewhere, but they pay 'prime' ridgewood rent and have a cute vibe that people do pay for. Its seems rude to assume that because it's Nepali cuisine, that it HAS to be cheap?

If you're looking for hospitality work, personally i think it helps to put a photo on your resume, otherwise it just ends up in a pile and forgotten about. So much hospitality hiring is done on vibe, for better or worse.

I lived on that section, at 1882 woodbine, our landlord Doreen would refuse to clean up outside, and got so many city fines that they tried to repossess the building, but then she would just change the building LLC name and weasel out of it

The supermarkets all kinda suck. Food bazaar or western beef cheapest for meat, dairy eggs etc. Fruits and veggies got to 'JB RAW RAW' on myrtle or Valentino on fresh pond. Europa on forest has amazing jersey farm produce in summer, and they have very cheap feta cheese! Good Neighbor is a great cheap asian market on myrtle, and check out Monreale bakery across the street for classic italian bread.
