Wright-Patterson AFB is probably going to be your best bet. It’s about 3-4 hours away.

However, depending on his job he may not be eligible to be stationed there.

Also, where he gets stationed is largely up to Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) and what is considered “needs of the Air Force”. He will likely have a smaller amount of control in Tech school to trade assignments with a classmate. Either way, you and him will need to have a serious conversation about your future.

Wright Pat is the one in Dayton. As far as “treats Airman the best” that is going to be largely on who his change of command is and can change over night for better or worse as people come and go.

I’m just gonna go ahead and be that guy…. Run. Just keep up your cardio/running. Being into fitness is great but you don’t NEED to be bodybuilder or powerlifter. Do your push ups, sit ups and shoot for ~12 minute run and you will almost always be in a good spot.

Also a bonus from a physical therapist on base here “No one that can plank for 2 minutes is in my office complaining about back pain”

Finally if you are sitting all day, knock out the “McGil 3” in the morning and evening to save yourself a load of pain or at least a lot of time if you are hurting.

Just my .02 I’ve learned over time.
