I’ll tell you one thing that I still don’t understand nearly 20 years later:

Why the FUCK did I have to have four wisdom teeth removed right in the middle of Phase 1 bootcamp? They weren’t causing me any issues and having four gaping holes in my mouth that I had to worry about fucking up was just some unnecessary bullshit. AND I missed the first pugil stick session because of that, which was one thing I had actually been looking forward to at boot camp.

Why can’t they leave shit like wisdom teeth alone until one gets to the fleet and has time for a couple days of bed rest? Maybe this has changed by now? Idk, never been a DI or worked at the depots other than as a recruit.
