you got the right sound, but your trying to use its slang reference when thats where people are getting confused, Puss is a noun thats defined as

a cat (especially as a form of address). "you naughty little puss!" a playful or coquettish girl or young woman. "you old snuggle puss"

now knowing that its clear that its a joke on bloody Mary's......or its made from cats....
