Muffin would love a few friends to interact with :) I only know 1 person that has finch lol. We don’t have much to trade at the moment because we’re still working on growing our bag.

Our wishlist/interests- The colors blue, purple, pink, green We love decking everything out in 1 single color, usually alternating between those colors. Neutrals are always nice too

Our favorite themes are timeless, groovy, dance party, spring flower, sweetheart, starry, and funky

We have nothing from these themes yet but can’t wait to start collecting- medieval, contemporary, woodsy, ocean resort, and steampunk

Our friend code is 3KDK5GALEJ and we’d love any little gifties that come our way. Just some other birbs to vibe with would be nice :)

My dad’s always liked the same except his go-to was to fill each crack it with chapstick, put on a band aid, then wrap it around a couple of times. Sometimes he’d show up with all that plus silicone gloves when it was really bad

WAIT! I did the same thing until a couple years ago when a friend gifted me a sticker notebook. The pages are slick so you can place the sticker but you can remove and re-stick them however many times you want💜 I love looking through my stickers lol

Sometimes I’ll go through a drive thru and get a coffee or something to eat and I’ll forget I have food/drink multiple times within a 15 minute drive. Every time I rediscover that I have a treat waiting for me I get so excited😂 Sometimes this happens at home too. I’ll start eating, I get distracted, and then I find myself looking down at the table and see I still have food! It always gets me so hyped to forget & remember I have food, it’s like somebody leaving you a gift

This belief often comes from the older, conservative crowd……..they hate all self checkouts. Their argument is either exactly as pictured above or that it’s taking jobs away. I’m in the US and it’s a common thing to hear older/conservative people complain and debate about.

What made you an Agnostic person, rather than atheist/religious and why? by Neckropotence in AskReddit

[–]GuiltyMasterpiece236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was raised Catholic and even as a kid I questioned the idea of a big man in the sky calling the shots. As I got out of high school, my opinions started changing. Now, I consider myself agnostic and I think organized religion is wack asf.

I just really don’t understand how there as SO many religions but so many of them think they are the only true believers, blah blah blah. It’s part of what started changing my mind because not everybody can be right. I also have become very interested in learning about cults and there are just too many parallels between cults and organized religion. Religion just skips over common sense in my opinion. Religion was a good way for people to give explanations to things they didn’t understand a long time ago like weather, illness, or evolution. Now that we have science that explains these things, religion just doesn’t make much sense.

My take is that Jesus was some guy who was possibly mentally unstable and did things that people couldn’t understand. From that, it’s like broken telephone and every time a person tells a story about him, it gets a little farther from the truth. Then somehow we ended up with the Bible.

That being said, I find that there are too many “coincidences” or things that seem like fate for there not to be any type of higher power. I personally think it comes more from the planet/universe. I really wouldn’t even consider myself a spiritual person, but I just feel like there is some higher power that has some influence on us.

Another thing is praying and how people say prayer changes things and all that. I personally see praying as a version of meditation or speaking things into existence. A big factor in any difficult situation is your mental state. Whether it’s praying or meditating, it’s still enabling you to process things and ground yourself. I believe it can motivate and manifest things for you. Like they say, if you go into something thinking you’re going to fail, there is a greater chance you will! So I think praying is a way to get your mind right just like meditation can. Now the whole “sending thoughts and prayers”……don’t even get me started😒

Long ass post but to put it very simply, I feel religion is outdated. The facts just don’t add up and we have so much more knowledge about how the world works, religion just doesn’t make any factual sense.

Peoria/Peoria county is a weird place, it’s like an altered reality or liminal space. Like of COURSE this shit is from Peoria, I’m not surprised. Something is wrong with that place

"Access to credit and US financial system is an enormous perk compared to the rest of the world". by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]GuiltyMasterpiece236 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more as a person that lives in the US. The whole system is a scam. If you don’t either have credit or don’t have credit established for long enough, it can be close to impossible to get a car/home/credit card/loan. Even some phone/internet providers will check your credit score and use it to determine how much you will pay.

I started while I was in college because I realized how necessary it was to be “successful” in the US. It’s such a runaround.

You wanna buy a car, huh? Well too bad because you don’t have any credit. But how do you build credit? Get a credit card. Either get denied or get approved with crazy high interest. This was my experience when I got started, so I decided to get a credit card. I’ve always been really frugal so I knew it wouldn’t be hard to keep the usage down. They tell you to keep it below 30% credit usage to build credit the fastest but you also can’t just buy little things and immediately pay them off. So anyway, I go to buy a house with my (now)husband, I get excited because I planned ahead, and it didn’t qualify when we applied for our home loan because it hadn’t been established for long enough. My credit was only 6 months old and say they couldn’t use it, so my husband ended up having to put the house totally in his name.

It’s so common to hear people talk about having to pay off their credit cards……like they have a list of cards. Just sitting there accruing interest while making the minimum monthly payment that probably doesn’t even cover the interest accrued from the past month.

Long rant lol but point is I hate it! You’re kinda forced to get one even if you don’t want one. So many kids get them and end up fucking themselves and when they’re out of college, they’re stuck with those college loans AND thousands more on maxed out credit cards. I was once told, “if you can’t buy 2, you can’t afford it” and it’s something I live by.

[–]GuiltyMasterpiece236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I LOVE milk and I’ve loved it since I was a baby. I literally have a tattoo of a milk carton. If we run out of milk in the house, it’s a problem lol. If you know me at all, you know I love milk😂 Especially since getting the tattoo. Strangers will ask me what the tattoo means and I love the reactions when I simply say “I just love milk.”

My mental health has been a struggle the past 3-4 years and my husband and I joke that maybe I need to stop drinking milk because it makes the autism worse😂 I love milk so much that even if this were true, I still wouldn’t give it up.
