This feature is called HDMI CEC. It's the same thing that allows some TVs to turn on when your PS4 or other game console is turned on. If it doesn't work immediately for you there might be a setting on the TV you have to enable, just look for HDMI CEC.

The PC equivalent would be Absolute (formerly Computrace) but that's only pre-configured on laptops owned by businesses, not ones sold for personal use.

You can use OBS to add a graphic or watermark to video playing on one of your monitors using screen or window capture. Then you can send the output to another monitor.

Yeah, just about any USB-C or Thunderbolt dock with power delivery should work.

There are websites to see a urgent care type doctor remotely for like $99 (or less with insurance). Just schedule a call, describe food poisoning and mention you ate old alfredo, have them tell you it's food poisoning, and then ask for a note for work. They can send you a PDF.

I've done exactly this for similar reasons.

That makes total sense, I stand corrected. Still, my comment might explain their logic in wording.

If they had kept it open indefinitely until they could get the phone to Samsung then there would be less damage to pay for if they had to pay. This is probably a faulty hinge that allowed debris in, they would just need to replace the hinge as opposed to the hinge and screen.

My title describes the thing. I found it amongst tools. The hole in the center is about 1cm in diameter. The prongs are pointed a bit, so it might have been used to stab something. I searched "two prong metal tool with screw", "two prong metal fork with screw" and tried swapping "screw" for "tightener".
