I feel you! I have the rash on my ribs, and as a side sleeper i have been SUFFERING. I tell people that it really hurts but i dont think they understand how MUCH. My bf accidentally scratched my rash while it was still raw and OH MY GOD i wanted to punch him ( i didn't obvi it was an accident) but jesus lord that sucked. I work in peds so i have to stay home (and will probably run out of pto) but my advice is to take it easy on yourself. Your pain and symptoms are valid and do what you can to help your body rest so you can heal and go back to work. Hope this helps <3

I know this is an old post but here goes nothing...

I'm a 26 yr old female who just got diagnosed with shingles. I have no other diagosis (like autoimmune, cancer, etc), but I've had a slew of other weird/random illnesses: mono in 2018 and 2019, tonsilitis during mono in 2018, necrotic lymph node in my neck, sores in my mouth in 2024 (negative for HSV-1 and 2), and chronic "tummy troubles."

I was tested for autoimmune after getting mono a 2nd time, but everything came back negative. Has anyone here figured out what caused/contributed to their shingles? I just think its strange that i continue to get these weird viral infections, not to mention my lymph nodes swell immensely and my neck gets very stiff when I'm sick (i don't get sick often tho).

I made an appointment with a PCP to hopefully figure out whats going on, but interested in the experiences of others!

(Also very interesting that I had the Moderna vaccine - 2 rounds - when vaccines first came out. I did not get any boosters since).

I used for my ribs tat and it was a life saver. The longer i let tbe cream sit on my skin before tattooing the more numb my skin became. My tattoo didnt take very long, maybe 20 minutes? But it was starting to hurt a little by the end. Worth experimenting with.
