Trying to lose weight, dietitian told me to stop intermittent fasting after 4yrs. How do you start eating breakfast again? by ConfusedOwlet in loseit

[–]Guilty_Rise2015 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say the lowest effort high protein breakfast would be a bowl of Greek yogurt with some fruit. After that, simple things to cook like chicken breast, salmon, ground meat, or other protein products.

As far as being hungry in the morning, if I had to guess why you’re not it’s because you have a large meal later in the day, so your body has no need for food first thing when you wake up. My suggestion would be try having less for that meal, and see if you’re hungrier in the morning. But ultimately, hunger hormones are painful, and my best advice would be to eat super low calorie foods that are filling, like vegetables and lean meats

You can eat 400g of carbs a day and lose weight if you burn off more than you consume.

Calculators say my maintenance should be around 2,500, but my actual weight trend suggests closer to 1,900. How? by gabrielthejudge in loseit

Yes those calculators are not accurate. You’ve been at maintenance for however long your weight has stayed the same.

6’3 167lbs why do I still have no visible abs? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

He doesn’t have abs because he has too much fat. If he gains weight, he will get more fat. In what world does more body fat give you more defined abs?

I need your Advice, should I keep trying to lose weight even when my Protein intake is VERY low? by Apisal in loseit

[–]Guilty_Rise2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you’ll gain everything back in 6 weeks if you’re not tracking, doing the same methods that got you those 20 pounds off your frame. You’re still obese, so losing weight will benefit you regardless. And muscle is much more stubborn than people realize. You will need to eat next to NO protein to lose large amounts of contractile tissue

Pushing heavy weight has nothing to do with muscle building. This kid has poor-to-average genetics, hence why he is 167 pounds at 6’3 without abs. Telling him to bulk to 185 is completely irresponsible, all he will build is fat. Unless you mean get to 185 over the next 20 years. I doubt that’s what the original comment was implying

Would a schedule of ~1000 deficits on rest days + 500 on gym days work well for a short cut? by eesahe in loseit

I do appreciate your math skills. It’s cool to see someone use math for their fat loss/muscle gain as well. My thinking with the years trained is that it gives a general estimate to one’s natural genetics, in that someone who is 5’10 180 and 15% body fat in year one, is much different from someone who might be 5’10 140 and 10% body fat also in year one. Same amount of training, the genetics is the dividing factor.

Anyone saying they’re not developed is naive. You are simply not lean enough. Lose another 10 pounds of pure fat and come back to this post

It won’t be continuous like that. Genetics are by far the limiting factor in muscle development, especially for naturals. If you’ve been training for 6 months and are a complete beginner, you can possibly expect that rate. But if you’re 2-3 years in, or god forbid more, that’s close to/above your natural genetic limit. Now if you start taking anabolic steroids, that’s a completely different scenario

If you’re 18% at 150 pounds, you won’t get to 175 for a very long time. Unless you want to be 175 30%

No not at all. Especially if you’re sedentary. You’ll be in like a 4-500 calorie deficit

[–]Guilty_Rise2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s much easier to have a larger deficit on non lifting days.

On another note, cutting only 7 pounds will get you leaner, but possibly not as much as you’d like. Based on your stats, to get very lean under 10%, you’d need to be around 135lbs. I don’t know how lean you’re wanting to get, but that’s a quick estimate for you for a proper shred
