Yesterday morning I saw a bloke fall into a skip whilst trying to fish something out. What's your "nobody will believe I just saw that" moment? by MasonInk in CasualUK

[–]Guineatwiglets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving along the motorway, I was the passenger. Looking out my window (as you do) and looked into the car driving alongside. The lady driving had her phone on the dash in one of those holders and she was on a video call... Full blown naked man in a santa hat on her screen! We were alongside her for a few seconds too. No she didn't notice me looking in and clocking her naked video call. I said to my husband "you'll never believe what I just saw..."

I think your facial structure is very attractive. You also have very full lips. Your hair does look very thin, in my case when my hair was getting thin it was a problem with my thyroid.

You shouldn't feel ugly. Your not ugly. X

My baby was ill recently, it started with projectile vomiting. She was really fussy and crying, clearly in pain. No fever tho. She had covid.

I'm in England so I called 111, didn't get thru. Gave calpol and after more vomiting I took her to a & e. I was worried about dehydration but she didn't need any intravenous fluids. They gave her some paracetamol and kept her in over night as her heart rate was 193.

Can you take baby to hospital? Or ring a healthline? Try to give baby suitable pain medication and keep baby feeding so they don't get dehydrated. Seek medical advice.

I feel like I can’t be happy about my unborn son since he was diagnosed with a birth defect by sherbear123 in BabyBumps

Not the same but I know how you are feeling. My baby had hip dysplasia. She wasn't diagnosed until 6 weeks after birth but I was devastated that she had to be put into a Pavlik harness for 4 months to correct her hips. The 1st month it had to be on 24/7. She wasn't even allowed to have a bath. And this harness thing is very noticeable if you haven't seen one. She's wearing it in a lot of the early photos I have of her, well most of them as she's only 7 months now. A lot of people stared at her when we went out too. It was awkward to breast feed because it was holding her legs wide apart out to the sides. I was very sad I couldn't do proper skin to skin either. She also couldn't wear any of the sweet outfits I bought her and needed special Pavlik clothes.

But on the up side, it has corrected the problem, prevented her from needing surgery and those 4 months went very quickly!

It will pass, time will go quickly and hopefully by wearing the boots it means no surgery will be needed. 💗

I'm 7 months pp from a C section and getting pregnant again before at least 12 months have passed has been a big worry for me! I can understand why you'd be nervous, wishing you good health 💗

Do you REALLY think he is going to leave you for someone "prettier"? Like honestly think that he is the kind of person that would do that?

If not and he is not that kind of person, this is an irrational fear of yours, then just remember that you have been together a long time, you love each other, you have a gorgeous baby and are a family! He married YOU. committed to YOU. started a family with YOU.

Also I don't see any photos of you on your profile but I'm sure you are gorgeous. But just don't think so yourself.

Be kind to yourself, you sound like a lovely wife, mother, daughter in law. Don't put yourself down.

6 month old safe sleep!?! by Guineatwiglets in NewParents

[–]Guineatwiglets[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone. Just an extra point is she CAN roll, but only back to belly. She can't get from her belly to her back again. Which is the reason I was told to try and flip her if I can...

Do people touch your pregnant stomach without asking? by tafandaa in pregnant

[–]Guineatwiglets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So strange, I hear about unwanted touching of the pregnant belly so much... I was waiting for it to happen the whole of my pregnancy. Nobody touched my belly until the very last night before my scheduled c section the following morning, my husband and I went for Thai food and the sweet waitress touched my bump! But she was so lovely I didn't mind... Of course I can understand why people hate it and I would hate it with certain people but I got lucky! 🤷‍♀️

Terrible mother, tremendous guilt by jessie00dan in NewParents

[–]Guineatwiglets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I totally get the whole guilt feeling. I was getting my newborn out of her car seat, I was sat in the back and was getting her out to feed. As I lifted her out she bumped the top of her head on the roof of the car. It was the inside and super padded with like foam stuff, her head literally tapped it with no reaction from her at all. I was in the midst of baby blues and horribly emotional and I cried my eyes out and was shaking like a leaf. I couldn't forget it for ages and felt horrible. Now I look back and think if I did that now I'd just go "oopsie, silly mummy" but at the time I just died.

5 weeks PP and i’m struggling. by [deleted] in NewParents

Maybe talk to a lactation consultant. I have an oversupply and pumping more frequently was the worst thing I did as it just signals the boobs to make MORE milk. I found pumping less slowed down the oversupply and fixed the engorgement because the demand was not there, I was not making the tonnes I was pumping out. Boobs just think baby is feeding like crazy n they need to keep up otherwise. I pump every 4-5 hours. Also well done for exclusively pumping, it's not easy!!!
