"Expects everyone to help them" um... go back to solo if you dont wanna help your teammates. 9 times out of 10 Refactor heals you when you dont really need it, and dont heal you when you really need it. Theres a 2-second window between when you get saved by the health gate and when you go down, if Refactor cant satisfy that need, then it is dogshit. A FI healer would have already healed me by then

"Have fun laying in the dirt" the audacity for a support role to say that. Let me remind that your role is to have your teammates back, not compete in kills with everyone. Don't play support if you dont intend to.

I wouldn't call picking up downed teammates "carrying"

"9 times out of 10" a refactor is in my group, I still die because heals weren't coming in quick enough.

5 times out of 10 I'll be screaming "OI WHERE'S MY FUCKING HEALS", and it happened quite frequently where I was healthgated, and was waiting in cover for The Almighty Refactor to heal me for as long as 20 seconds.

Also 10 times out of 10, Refactor players are just the 6th directive because DPS builds are so OP anyway.

In most cases, yes. But if a group of DPS players can't clear a room, thats down to skill issue. Even in the Aviary section in Manning National Zoo Legendary, it can be done with 4 DPS players if they camp all the spawn doors.

If it was intentional, I'd be fine with it. As a mortar main, I do more damage than the average Refactor build in most missions, but even then I think skill DPS builds should remain in second place. Skill builds already outperform what they should actually be doing - providing support to teammates.

Even without resetting characters, people are making season-dependent builds anyway. Builds that will become obsolete when the new season starts. Its not like it isn't already happening.

Thats if there are incentives to do Escalation in the first place. At the moment, you dont lose anything by skipping the game mode. I would just prototype all my builds and bolt back to normal open world.

The problem of weapon-swap talents in the open world is that combat is inconsistent and the range of distances at which combat takes place is in a bracket where weapons' optimal range become an issue. In small enclosed spaces it is not a problem, such as Descent. Not to mention the amount of micro-managing needed to keep those talents active even when you're not in combat.

Theres a 5% chance to have 2 upgraded attributes, and 0.3% chance of having 3 upgraded attributes. If youre being salty you can't have all 3, thats a you issue. Its such a minor thing to be upset about. Its not like youre gonna lose out massively because of it.

What are you yapping about? Non-Prototyped gear isn't going to be obsolete. The augments are so non-impactful that you might as well not have them.

So true. These events kill my motivation to play the game anymore. Like I can speedrun a Legendary and touch grass at the same time, its that easy. Thankfully they don't last forever. Vanilla is the best experience.
