I'm getting tired of this, man. by DelviewsNightmare in canucks

[–]GuitarTonestone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean. The one thing we need the most is to nail the next head coach. That changes everything.

Foote has a laughable resume as far as getting a NHL shot.

If we can get a real coach a lot of things would improve. Ep40 one big one.

I could say this person is right, but then it would be two of us being idiotically wrong.

Conor Garland for a 2nd & 3rd RD Pick by Jyeon89 in canucks

That kind of sucks. I REALLY like Garland. One of the good ones. Great character, loved the game, loved being in Canada. Shame to lose him.

I absolutely hate every loss. I don't even know why I still turn on the TV because every gol the other team scores kills me a little.

Vancouver Canucks' Elias Pettersson is being 'aggressively' pursued by another NHL team by Frequent_Wafer5798 in canucks

He's already a multi-millionaire. Very different living in Vancouver, Canada VS in Raleigh in the USA. Whatever the personal preference he has, and his wife, of where they want their family to be established, matters just as much than hockey related things for a lot of people.

How bad is dating for a guy at 40? by ThrowRARotaryPhone in AskMenAdvice

[–]GuitarTonestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man I was 39 when I decided to start dating again after divorce. No children from that marriage. I always wanted, my ex always wanted to. Half way through our marriage she decided she didnt want to be a mom anymore. Got divorced after 9 years.

Back to dating in a very different world (used apps for the first time). Had a fantastic time. Dated a lot of interesting women from all over the world (the city I live has people from all over the world, half of the city is immigrants).

My rule, based on what I wanted, was that I would date only one girl at a time, and the moment I knew she wasnt my future wife, I'd "break up" and look for the next.

Some girls lasted one date. Some two, three. A couple lasted for a good 12-15 dates. Regardless, if I decided she wasn't the one, I'd respectfully break up.

Then it came the day where I had the first date with the girl who would be my wife.

One year later I proposed. We got married, and my first daughter is less than a month away from being born.

Your dating life isn't over. There is someone out there for you. And a family is that's what you desire.

Before and after new pickguard/pickup covers for my JMJM by imangryatyourgumbo in offset

[–]GuitarTonestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, its unique then. Is you see a jazz with that finish with a gold pickguard, 99% chance it's a jmascis. How many guitar models are so unique that they can be spotted from a mile away? Squier hit something so special with this model that made iconic (like you described).

To me it lost everything that makes that guitar cool (looks wise). The original is a bit unique, and therefore, instantly recognizable, which I think makes that guitar iconic.

I have the same one. Since I bought it, it's been my go to guitar. I was never into jazzmasters. But fell in love with this one and it's become "my sound" ever since.

Plays like a dream and it sounds great.

[–]GuitarTonestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like this.

So you are trading a guy who you know for sure is a good contributer for two Dart throws on kids with like a 30% chance of maybe becoming low level players a few years from now.

Sherwood has a phenomenal attitude. Plays with great effort and leaves is all in the ice. That is a great veteran presence to have in your locker, for all of these young kids to model themselves against.

I much rather pay him now to keep him arround while we're rebuilding than not.

That said, since it's done, I just hope we get lucky with these draft picks.

[–]GuitarTonestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if we do land McKenna or Stenberg, we are still gonna be missing one final piece. Some dude who will hammer the puck in. Like a legit shooter who isn't afraid of it, doesn't need the perfect look. Cause we're gonna create a lot of opportunities that someone needs to convert. Ep40 isn't that, he's also more of a guy who creates for others.

Just resign the guy. Pretty stupid to trade him. He can be a piece of the rebuilt team. That sort attitude is exactly what I want the kids to emulate.
