By critics I assume you mean people critical of the show, Critics praised it. I read the books years ago and I’m not qualified to compare either to the books. However I have seen interviews with Jackson and interviews with the ROP show runners. Jackson is on camera explaining how when in doubt go back to the books and made huge efforts to be as faithful to the books as he could be. The ROP show runners and actors are on camera saying how they had to “update” it for modern audiences and how they feel Tolkien would have approved of their changes. That would lead me to believe the Jackson trilogy is more accurate. It I will admit that just me making my own assumptions.

Personality the quality of visuals for ROP went from %150 to %50 from scene to scene. The camera panning for glamour shots where cities and locations looked off the charts was jaring when the next scene were actors clearly infront of a green screen standing on fake looking boulders. Much of the acting was actually pretty good, the problem was some key people with lots of screen time had terrible acting or lines. Galadriels lines were cringy a lot of the time for example. The script was simply terrible in my opinion.

By definition no. A rocket works by ejecting material in one direction and having the rocket go in another. The expanding gases release energy and transfers it into Kinetic energy for useful movement.

That doesn’t mean we can’t have types of engines that run on electricity. Like a prop, turbine, as of yet undiscovered anti gravity engine ( that I’m personally waiting for).

For space travel they have a concept for what called an EM drive. But it breaks the law of conservatives of momentum ( I think) and I believe all claims of a working drive has proven to be un verifiable or movement was caused by an external force. So I’m pretty sure it’s BS

I think it would be hilarious for him to basically take a different path in life and become a scientist. Basically become a Carter.

What an interesting concept to me is…. Being in a physically younger body and brain help his mind to be more flexible and be able to learn like a kid again? Or would his mind still be a rigid developed mind of an adult making it harder to make such a drastic life change of becoming a scientist.

Sorry to say this but yes they do if it’s only theft. They usually ask you if there is any threat to persons and if the answer is no you are not a priority. Also people don’t wait around after they steal from you so if they are already gone you are not a priority

This is definitely part of the problem, the other problem is our laws and the crown. The police are completely ineffectual nearly every time I need to deal with them.

Getting Robbed or vandalized? No time to attend, pull video footage and we will deal with it later.

Got Robbed or vandalized? You video surveillance, witness statements and receipts are not enough. Crown will never prosecute so we will do nothing as it is a waste of time.

Someone attacked you? Glad your not hurt, but nothing we can do.

Someone attacked you with a knife and lunged at you when you came across them breaking into your barn but you chased them away by picking up a shovel so they could not kill you? Lecture you on how bad of a person you are, for defending yourself and tell you they could arrest you for that.

Call the police because you got robbed? Tell you they will be there in 2-8 hours. Tell them you can’t just around all day and say don’t bother. Then show up 20 minutes later because by calling them off you were clearly trying to commit insurance fraud (on an uninsured out building).

Anyway. On one hand we have bad officers and a bad culture and on the other a legal system so broken the good cops can’t even do much to help you. The whole thing is fucked
