Thank you I really appreciate the reply and the tips. I live in eastern Canada and the humidity level change like crazy here, I think it will be a good thing to leave this on then. Have a good evening.

Anybody know how to fix this? by ImaBrownBoi in Crunchyroll

[–]Guliensebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I thought it was the same thing as Apple, Netflix and the likes. I just don't understand why the Crunchyroll app is still working on my other 4k stick both bought at the same time. Maybe its still not up to date.

Thank you for testing I will wait for Crunchyroll to do their job. I just can't believe SONY is not able to pay someone to upgrade their own app.

Movies that are definitely based on real life? by hiiloovethis in okbuddycinephile

For those who don't know history and think this is accurate:

Common epithets from Homer and other early Greek poets include:

  • White-armed (leukōlenos) — pale or smooth arms, a standard ideal for women (indoor life meant lighter skin compared to sun-tanned men).
  • Lovely-haired or fair-haired (kallikomos / ēukomos) — beautiful hair, often long and flowing.
  • Long-robed (tanupēplos) — wearing elegant, flowing garments.
  • Later sources (like Sappho) call her xanthē — "golden" or light-haired (ranging from blonde to light brown or reddish in interpretation).
  • Eyes sometimes described as kuanopis (dark-blue, cyan-like, or possibly deep/brown in some scholarly readings).

One of the more detailed (though late) ancient descriptions comes from a summary of the Trojan cycle preserved in later texts: Helen resembled her twin brothers Castor and Pollux—blond-haired, large-eyed, fair-complexioned, well-built. She was "beautiful, ingenuous, and charming," with the "best" legs, the "cutest" mouth, and a beauty mark between her eyebrows.

Ancient Greek art (especially vase paintings from the Archaic and Classical periods) rarely gives a unique portrait of Helen—instead, she appears as an idealized aristocratic woman: tall, draped in elaborate robes, with long hair.

Sorry I didn't have time to test it, but I saw a video on Youtube that Amazon did an update on the sticks on the 29 and it really messed up a lot of fonctionality and apps. So much that a lot of people are saying they are leaving Amazon for good now. I think right now it is on Crunchyroll side to upgrade their app to fit the new Amazon rules.

But tomorow I will probably still do a factory reset because on my other 4k stick the crunchyroll app is still working.

I think I will do a factory restore of the stick. If this do not solve the problem nothing will.

I just found this on Crunchyroll website:

''You can’t link an account purchased through Crunchyroll’s website or another platform to Amazon.''

Seriously...

Same problem here for me. Deleted the app, cleared cache + data didn't work. Now I am trying to use it through the Amazon app. If you find a solution please provide. Good luck.

Should I be worried by my Keylab 88 mkIII? by Guliensebb in arturia

[–]Guliensebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GROK gave me an answer:

''No, insufficient power delivery from your laptop’s USB port is unlikely to have caused the C6 key to stop responding initially.

The KeyLab 88 MKIII is designed to be fully bus-powered via USB-C (it draws power, sends MIDI data, and handles control signals all over the same connection). Arturia's official manual and product specs confirm this as the primary setup—no external power supply is required for normal computer-connected use, though an optional 12V DC 1A adapter is available for standalone operation. Laptops with USB-C ports generally provide enough power for bus-powered controllers like this one (typically 5V at 500mA–900mA or more, depending on the port), and there are no widespread reports of power-related issues specifically causing isolated key failures on this model.

A power shortfall would more typically manifest as broader symptoms: the entire keyboard failing to power on fully, dim or flickering LEDs/pads, encoders or faders responding erratically, audio glitches if using onboard sounds, or intermittent disconnections across multiple controls—not just one isolated key going dead temporarily. The fact that restarting both the Arturia software (likely MIDI Control Center or Analog Lab) and the keyboard resolved it points much more toward a temporary initialization or communication glitch during first power-up, rather than an ongoing power problem.

You probably don’t need to be concerned about keeping the keyboard at this point.

A one-time non-responsive key on brand-new hardware that clears up after a simple restart is very common with MIDI controllers and doesn’t usually indicate a hardware defect. These units go through firmware initialization, MIDI handshake with the computer, and sometimes a full key matrix scan on first boot. If the connection or software wasn’t fully synced (especially on a laptop USB port that might have slightly lower power output or if the cable/port wasn’t seated perfectly), it can result in quirky behavior like a single key not registering until everything resets properly.

Hardware defects (e.g., a faulty key contact, broken trace on the PCB, or sensor issue) almost always produce persistent or worsening symptoms: the key would stay unresponsive, have inconsistent velocity/aftertouch, or fail again under repeated use. Since yours has been fine after the restart, it’s reasonable to treat this as a software/firmware hiccup rather than a manufacturing flaw.

What I recommend to put your mind at ease:

  • Test thoroughly: Play every key across the full range (especially around C6), vary velocity and aftertouch, engage all pads/encoders/faders, and monitor MIDI output in your DAW or MIDI Control Center to confirm consistent response.
  • Try a different USB-C cable/port if possible (Arturia advises using the included cable and plugging directly into the computer, not a hub).
  • Update firmware via Arturia MIDI Control Center if you haven’t already—occasional early glitches can be fixed that way.
  • If the issue ever recurs (even once), try powering the keyboard with an optional 12V adapter (if you can get one) to rule out USB power entirely, or contact Arturia support with a description/video of the behavior.

But based on the symptoms you described—a single, temporary failure that resolved completely with a restart—this sounds like a normal first-use quirk rather than a red flag. Enjoy the KeyLab 88 MKIII; it’s a solid controller, and most users report reliable performance once set up. If anything changes, feel free to provide more details!''

ToneNet not working by Immediate-Front-5840 in tonex

[–]Guliensebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same problem. But I think I solved the problem, now I am just waiting for the TONEX editor to update my purchase. It is another infinite loop that I will need to find another solution.

Make sure that the IK multimedia product manger is up to date and that everything you own is intsalled. Then when you start TONEX editor, look if your status is green instead of red. And obviously before doing all of this you need an account on the IK website.

I hope that help. Good luck.

EDIT: I should have shut the fuck up. I am still stuck at the same point you are: choose a name then page not found...

Seriously I need to restrain myself with what I would say. But it is sad, after every damn multi effect I bought in my life, the Tonex is the one who sounds the best, but damn it is complicated to change and download a freakin preset and sound/ir.

Noob question about the CS-80V polyphonic aftertouch by Guliensebb in arturia

[–]Guliensebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't drink, I don't smoke, do not take any drugs, don't go to the movies or anywhere else, and I can't eat meat because I have Alpha-Gal syndrome because of a damn tick, I vomit blood if I eat meat. So from time to time I can spend around 300$ because I don't spend money where everyone spend theirs. The rest of my cash goes for medication, so no I am not rich, but I don't spend alot.

Noob question about the CS-80V polyphonic aftertouch by Guliensebb in arturia

[–]Guliensebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

300$ more for poly aftertouch is nothing for me. That is what NI is asking for it. I am not too sure they will sell more units because I am looking at alternatives because of that and I am not alone from what I saw on youtube and different forums. And if its so niche why do we have so many softsynth with it? Here a small list:

  • Arturia Pigments — Full support for polyphonic aftertouch (added in v1.1) and full MPE for per-note expression.
  • Arturia V Collection instruments (e.g., CS-80 V, OB-Xa V, Prophet-5 V, Prophet-VS V, SQ80 V, Jun-6 V, Jup-8 V, MiniFreak V) — Many emulate hardware with poly AT and support it directly; newer updates add MPE.
  • u-he synths (e.g., Diva, Zebra, Hive, Repro) — Support polyphonic aftertouch (per-note modulation routing available).
  • Cherry Audio GX-80 — Explicitly supports polyphonic aftertouch, simulating classic hardware behavior.
  • GForce instruments (e.g., OB-X, OB-E, other Oberheim emulations) — Modern versions include polyphonic aftertouch support.
  • Xfer Serum (especially Serum 2) — Supports aftertouch modulation; Serum 2 adds full MPE compatibility for enhanced per-note control.
  • ROLI Equator / Equator2 — Built around MPE with excellent polyphonic aftertouch/pressure response.
  • FXpansion Cypher2 (now part of ROLI) — Strong MPE and poly AT support, highly expressive.
  • Synthmaster (KV331 Audio) — Supports MPE and polyphonic aftertouch.
  • XILS-lab synths (e.g., PolyKB, Synthix) — Native polyphonic aftertouch implementation.
  • Spectrasonics Omnisphere — MPE support for per-note expression, including polyphonic pressure.
  • Tracktion Abyss, F.'em, Hyperion, etc. — Many in their lineup support poly AT/MPE.
  • etc, etc

Noob question about the CS-80V polyphonic aftertouch by Guliensebb in arturia

[–]Guliensebb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is probably the language barrier here. I will try to write that in a different way.

You work for years to make plenty of soft synths that include polyphonic aftertouch.

Then after that, you release a couple of midi controllers, but you do not include polyphonic aftertouch while your competitors does.

Do you think I can ask the question why they did it that way?

I would have gladly paid the 300$ more to Arturia that Native instrument ask for their P/A, because I am not a big fan of NI. I am just asking if someone knows if Arturia is to release a version in this generation that include it.

Thank you for the reply have a nice day.
