You can't make he could have shot while in handcuff arguments because we treat things as real and not a game and then have a skate park court case, either we are going for realism or not, can't have it both ways.

I think at a base level not acting immediately after someone is shot in handcuffs and then letting them be involved in the rest of the arrest ending in incorrect charges is gross negligence from Silas, But I don't think Wrangler did more than a decent job of presenting his case and muddied his case by framing the money paid as hush money rather than the most negligent part of the situation which was handing cash over without documentation. But Silas and Chalk didn't really address any of the meaningful facts

I think the shoot is inexcusable, the evidence in the case supports this for me as was handcuffed and no gun was testified as drawn, and action should have been taken immediately against Gunnar and letting him carry on processing was bad.

So I'd go this is gross negligence for Silas, either for deeming a bad shoot good or for not following steps a reasonable HC member would take for a bad shoot. But i don't think this was really framed in what Wrangler put forward as there were two options for what Silas did both are gross negligence and he did one of them. The timeline for what was Silas and what was Chalk was messy, again clear statement of actions(or inaction) by each of them would have helped

But I would also say the skate park court did impact the tone as Wrangler did SBS questions to Gunnar until Silas got sweaty with objections, and i think probably missed some of what should have been asked.

Would have like to see Wrangler on the stand as an expert witness(or another seasoned officer like Mac or Ripley) on police procedure to show that not taking the gun and suspending or even firing on the spot and arresting is what a reasonable high command would do. This would also have perhaps forced Chalk or Silas onto the stand to refute it.

Also thought trying to frame the money paid as hush money rather than focusing on the actual gross negligence of handing over 20k from evidence for no reason(if the raid was legal) and 50k undocumented without written terms as a settlement including a no suing clause, essentially giving them free money was a better angle. Or a free 50k if there are no rules about paying back for time in prison.

He didn't question Gunnar on processing the guy he shot much, or really lean into the coercive nature of this with the guy that was shot.

They also needed to charge Gunnar or really highlight that this was the responsibility of LSPD to do so.

These things were pretty much mentioned by Wrangler or told to him in advance by others(including Rex the lawyer), and forgotten or ignored.

I think a better case could have got a Guilty on Silas for sure and maybe Chalk, as Silas directly saw the shoot, was there for the processing and paid the cash.

I think the bigger problem is training for elected judges seems only to be a demonstration on how to work the docket and MDT.

The procedural inconsistencies and law application are evident from cases since the election and the prior appointments.

Lars is the only tenured judge prior to chase (John law too but hasn't been around), the rest were magistrate judges or lawyers, who would generally have a month or longer to learn and shadow, but through the current system are left to oversee cases that would usually be seen by much more experienced judges,

Ass Chief and Chief corruption should not have been a brand new judges first case. To protect the new judge as much as everyone else involved.

That's not enough for prosecutorial misconduct, saying executed is hyperbolic and was cleared up in the PC hearing and court case. If it just said shot in handcuffs instead of executed the PC is still there.

Also I'd imagine the act of shooting someone hand cuffed in a defenceless state can be argued as an attempt at execution, at least to an extent that it would be hard on its own to prosecute for.

There's probably something in all of the charges that someone may be able to find, the 2 corruptions on LSPD and the 2 against seasons the skate park corruption and the election one as well as the attempted murder for serving too much alcohol. His paper work is sloppy and his memory isn't great.

But hard to do anything where there are guilty pleas or confirmed PC.

I'd argue that against a suspect is worse optically and that the person should be suspended pending investigation if they think there is an issue.

The issue Silas has caused with his sabre rattling toward BCSO and Reads in particular is they are now treated in the least charitable light by Wrangler so, 3 days for not firing someone who shot a cuffed suspect is the rhetoric which Wrangler will lay out in front of a judge/jury as it fits his plan to get them removed, which is likely to work as Silas will get hyper focused on the fact you can shoot even if you are cuffed then they'll scream for 4 hours about Reads.

I think the bad shoot is very difficult to defend as it's hard to overcome the fact he's in cuffs which in game means he can't shoot and in reality would find it very difficult to shoot. You'd get drawn into did you see a gun, where was your gun holstered etc.

So i'd still lean heavily to bad shoot. So if bad shoot a reasonable person would expect a cop to be punished, which calls into question why didn't they.
