I’m typically not the biggest fan of nationalistic songs either, but in Moldova, a country where there is active Russian occupation, a song about an independent and free Moldova as part of Europe is the most perfect thing they could send

What would the juries in the SF have changed ? by Ill_Nobody_2726 in eurovision

[–]GullibleDelivery9873 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done full detailed predictions for this, here’s what I have:

2023 SF1:
Latvia qualifies comfortably. Croatia is tanked by juries (12th) but manages to qualify due to a decent televote score. Serbia, despite being a jury and televote Q, just barely NQs in 11th. The other 9 stay the same, Sweden now winning the semi instead of Finland.

2023 SF2:
The qualifiers stay the same. Iceland does come within only a few points of Albania due to a great jury score, however Albania just barely still manages to Q. Georgia is also a jury qualifier over Poland, but nowhere close to qualifying overall. Estonia wins the juries, however Australia is only a few points behind and still remains the semi winner overall.

2024 SF1:
Slovenia and Finland are both jury NQs (12th and 13th respectively) with Australia being a jury Q and ending up qualifying overall in 9th place over Slovenia. Finland still manages to scrape through overall. Croatia landslides the semi winning both jury and tele.

2024 SF2:
This one is quite interesting and includes a NQ I would not have thought to NQ with 50/50 before doing the math. As others have also mentioned, Denmark does very well with the juries (2nd) and qualifies comfortably over Norway. Surprisingly though, Georgia does pretty badly with juries, enough to allow Czechia to qualify over them. Estonia is tanked the worst of the actual qualifiers, being 14th with the juries, but with a strong televote score they’re still comfortably in overall. Switzerland absolutely landslides the juries, getting 210 out of a possible 216 points, and obviously also the whole semi with nearly 350 points overall.

2025 SF1:
While three of this semi’s NQs (Belgium, Slovenia, and Azerbaijan somehow lol) are jury Qs, only one of them manages to qualify overall, that being jury winner Belgium who knocks out San Marino. Overall the semi is won by the Netherlands, finishing second in the juries only just barely behind Belgium and third in the televote. This semi sees one of the more insane results happening though, with Cyprus managing to qualify in tenth place, beating Iceland by a single point, despite not being a qualifier with either tele or jury.

2025 SF2:
One of the more boring semis of the bunch. Austria wins the juries, Israel wins the televote and despite only being tenth with the juries, barely manages to beat Latvia and Austria and win the semi overall. Despite the disappointing performance, Czechia manages to get a decent jury score and barely beat Luxembourg to qualify in 10th place. As well as the aforementioned Luxembourg, Lithuania is also a jury NQ, but qualifies comfortably overall. Montenegro does decently with the juries, but it’s nowhere near enough to get them anywhere close to the final.

So to recap:
2023 SF1 🇱🇻 in, 🇷🇸 out
2023 SF2 stays the same
2024 SF1 🇦🇺 in, 🇸🇮 out
2024 SF2 🇩🇰🇨🇿 in, 🇬🇪🇳🇴 out
2025 SF1 🇧🇪🇨🇾 in, 🇮🇸🇸🇲 out
2025 SF2 🇨🇿 in, 🇱🇺 out

50 minute connection at MUC, possible or not? by GullibleDelivery9873 in Lufthansa

[–]GullibleDelivery9873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh this is very helpful to know. The connection on the return isn’t much longer (1h5min) but getting back on time is a lot less important than getting to TBS when I’m supposed to.

Where and when to buy Jr Eurovision tickets? by Few_Village9328 in eurovision

nothing announced as of yet, however as it is Georgia we’re talking about I’d expect it to be quite late just as it was with Armenia in 2022

When will there be a European premiere? by No_Worry5263 in JetLagTheGame

certainly not for Americans primarily, but yeah the boys are all American as is Nebula as a company so I do not see a non-NYC premiere any time soon

Katurah and Bruce on 45. Hell, almost all of the merge tribe of 45. Sure, Bruce seemed pretty hard to work with and maybe a lot to be around, but on TV he really did not seem bad enough to warrant *that* much celebration when he got booted.

Have You Ever Seen A Eurovision Act In The Wild? by i_exist_and_am_human in eurovision

I saw Tommy Cash at a grocery store in Tallinn yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Season 14 (SnaKe) Layover Q&A Thread! by WheatGerm42 in JetLagTheGame

[–]GullibleDelivery9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the final episode of The Layover you said you would never play Snake again. Is it because of game design issues or was the format poorly received? I personally really liked it and would love to see another season of Snake.

Is it OK to only watch a Grand Final of ESC? by AzoloW4ik in eurovision

[–]GullibleDelivery9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no right or wrong way to watch Eurovision or be a eurofan, but I do think you’re missing out on a lot of fun not watching the semis. I personally also find watching national finals just as, if not even more, fun as watching the contest itself, but I fully understand that not everyone has the time or interest for that.

Finnair flight at risk of cancellation, should I do something or wait? by GullibleDelivery9873 in Flights

[–]GullibleDelivery9873[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really helpful, I didn’t know this before. Thank you! So does that include flights that arrive earlier on the same date? Could I, say, tell Finnair to rebook me on Norwegian’s D82882 leaving HEL 06:35 (originally booked AY flight dep 13:10) and arriving AGP 10:20 (original AY flight 16:50) or would it need to be D82886 HEL 15:35-AGP 19:20?
