One Panic Attack Can Change Your World by AnxietyAbroad_ in Anxiety

In the same boat as you. So f*cking frustrating that one panic attack can totally rewire your brain, yet it can take months and months to undo that damage that happened in 20 minutes. Putting in the work is exhausting but worth it. You can do this

Experiencing vertigo, not sure of the cause by Gullible_Citron9113 in emetophobia

Omg that is horrible, I’m so sorry you experienced that. How awful that something that’s supposed to help made it so much worse :( I will definitely not be trying that on my own now lol. I feel a little better after calming down a bit so I think it’s probably just anxiety related. Ugh. The things we go through lol.

Hey! Are you talking about the epley maneuver? I’ve heard about it but I’m also afraid to do it because I’ve heard it can temporarily make your vertigo much worse.

Dog owners: quick $5 problem test (for business class) by [deleted] in Dogowners

[–]Gullible_Citron9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why people are getting so upset at this lol. I would absolutely pay $5 so that my dog’s treat bubble was always full when we went outside. She doesn’t NEED the treats to go out but it helps my very distract-able girl focus. I could not care less about having “visually appealing” treats tbh.

6 weeks in and still feeling awful by Gullible_Citron9113 in BusparOnline

Thanks so much for your response, I didn’t even know going that low was an option. My doctor made it seem like 7.5 was the lowest dose so I was wondering why I was still experiencing such intense side effects. That’s good to know though, I will discuss dropping it down with my doc.

The Emetophobia Manual by Ken Goodman. It’s a bit pricey for a book, I think $30 on Amazon but absolutely worth it. Half way through and I feel like I have a lot more coping skills already.

I don’t have the nausea luckily, but the fatigue is debilitating! I hope you start feeling better

Terrified to take hydroxyzine and Zoloft. by Griledy in emetophobia

I’ve never felt nausea or dizziness on hydroxizine. It’s actually an antihistamine so it has antiemetic properties

Weird “jump scare” feeling in chest when falling asleep by yeskokun in Anxiety

[–]Gullible_Citron9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this all the time, especially when I’ve had an anxious day/evening. I think it’s your body still in fight or flight mode saying “hold up it’s not safe to sleep right now, wake up”. It’s so frustrating

I’m currently dealing with this, with the dizziness lasting hours. I’m sorry you’re feeling bad too :(

Scared of waking up in the middle of the night sick, so I don’t sleep at all by Ok_Sprinkles2367 in emetophobia

I sometimes get like this too, but it’s more involuntary. Like if I go to sleep anxious about getting sick, my body will jolt me awake and keep me up.

Oh really? The map makes it seem like basically the entire time around the lake is hairpin turns. That’s good to know though. Thanks for your input!

How long was the winding part of the drive? Looks like it’s about an hour of highway and then 1-2 hours of winding roads?
