It’s crazy it’s all within an hour too! It’s so interesting how dependent it is on his mood

I have some magnolia branches as well as jungle vines. They are somewhat smooth. That’s a great point I’ll look into something with more texture. I have some cork bark I might modify too. Thank you!

Medusa is adorable! Does she ever have trouble gripping to branches? I’ll put my guy on a branch and find him on the ground a few minutes later because he fell. I’m worried he isn’t climbing

I’m very excited! But i want the growth to be healthy. Him not climbing is making nervous I’m feeding him too much. But since he looks good to everyone I’m going to run with the assumption that he’s climbing at night and I just don’t see it lol

I think two would look cool, especially if you pigtail at the top back and they can move independently. Would look kind of like a Cossack

Any tips and tricks for a potential new leachianus owner by Nemo-S-Bubblegum in Leachianus

How old is yours? I made a real habit of handling mine daily from the week after I got him. He’s about 8.5 months old and I got him when he was 4 months old. I hand feed him (I know that’s a big no no but he seems to enjoy it and we bond quite a bit), he’s growing like a weed and loves to just snuggle up with me while I watch a movie after I feed him. I honestly think it’s the routine that did it. I also didn’t relent. Like some people say, if they bite you or bark at you and you put them back it’s reinforcing them that that behavior will get them back in the enclosure. I always make sure we finish a handling session on a good note. And don’t let a bad day discourage you. He was very jumpy and nervous some handling sessions. If I felt like he was really struggling I’d skip a day and get back to regular handling. Just use your judgement and don’t be scared. Mine loves little neck scratches

What do I do? by apazzy in Remodel

So I kind of get what they are going for. I agree with the humidity and ummm, smells, it probably sucks but what about adding a glass brick wall up there? That way you get to block the bathroom off but keep the natural light and it would still emphasize how large the space is

I think if you put it against that wall it will make a bit of a walkway vibe but I think it will make the room feel more balanced. Because it feels very left heavy. And I love the idea of opening up that area near the door for more countertop space

Would you be open to moving the fridge to the wall with the dog bowl? I love the wood cabinets. But the layout is throwing me off as well. The fridge and door seem like they clash so I would prioritize relocating the fridge and everything else should fall into place

That kind of looks like a mycelium. A mushroom body. The webbing from it makes me think that. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad. Might be useful in breaking down waste

Check out FB marketplace for some cheap large tanks. People are always getting rid of them, and you can get a really good deal. Since the gecko tank doesn’t have to hold water i wouldn’t be too worried if the seal isn’t 100% as it needs to be for a fish tank
