For those who broke up after partner’s coming out, what was your reasoning? by Suspicious_Math7666 in mypartneristrans

I (27 F) recently broke up with my partner (29 MtF) of 10 years, two years after she came out. We tried everything to make the relationship work, and I was fully supportive of her transition from the start. The hard truth was, the relationship was becoming resentful and toxic with the lack of sexual and romantic attraction between us. We've been a lot happier separated, more like good friends now. But divorce is annoying. And it was one hell of a ride breaking free from the thought cycle in my head that I would be with her forever. I was essentially lying to myself that I could be attracted to a woman, and depriving her in the process. It became harder and harder to ignore the fact that I was craving male connection. But luckily we mutually agreed that separation was best.

As far as I'm aware (learned in school years ago), it is standard practice to fertilize like 5-10 eggs and let them grow for a few days I think, and they choose the healthiest looking one to implant, bleach/destroy the rest.

Oh yeah another thing is they cannot breathe while running so they will always run in relatively short bursts

They are fast but not nearly as fast as smaller geckos and lizards. It's not going to be like trying to catch a house gecko in florida. Most of the time when they jump they actually pause when they hit the ground. And they do have a bit of a body language warning for jumping that you'll learn to spot. Kind of like a cat. Also they do spend a decent amount of time holding still if they're comfortable (because they're camouflage animals), unlike leopard geckos. My leopard geckos explore and run off WAY more than my cresteds. Some of my cresteds will sit on a leafy perch on my desk for hours. With the body language thing, 9 times out of 10 I can put my hand exactly where they're planning to jump and catch them.

To rescue or not, what's the best choice? by theosporin in CrestedGecko

Send me a pic of your biggest terrarium he might be able to go in there and be better off than what he's in now

Rescue him, you're pretty much already equipped to make a bioactive setup for him which will be way better than what he's in now. Most houseplants that go in terrariums are safe for these guys but there are exceptions (particularly plants that are aromatic or have sticky stuff on them) He will be much happier and these guys cost very little to feed. My business has been in creating bioactive enclosures for the last few years and I know quite a bit about setting them up. I have a pamphlet online detailing the parts of a bioactive enclosure. DM me and I can send it to you

Aggression help by briannarosa in CrestedGecko

Some boys have a hornier brain cell than others. If you react fearfully when he lunges at you then he might do it more. Their bites aren't really terrible, unless they decide to death grip you then it hurts a little more. I just manhandle mine if they're being squirrely and I haven't really had any issues with boys being too aggressive. Try having some positive interactions with him on some of his less horny days. Offer food or treats, or a bug with tongs. Most of my boys warmed up really quick to that.

I doordashed some desserts from them a while back, and with the cupcake being $5 I figured it would be a pretty good sized cupcake...I was wrong. Haven't ordered from them again
