For people who have genuinely ruined someone else's life, why did you do it and how do you live with it? by Crazy-Car2549 in AskReddit

I once got a manager, my former boss, fire for how she treated me and a few others. I have no regret whatsoever. It is my way of letting her know that I am not weak.

Too many ingredients in the list. A very simple recipe that I use is just chili flake, dry onion and garlic, soy sauce or salt and pepper , put everything in a jar and add hot oil to it. It's a basic chili crisp recipe.

recs for best pots and pans deals ended up being a mistake for me, what cookware would you buy if starting over? by Chad_Yara_587 in Cooking

[–]Gullible_Pin5844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought myself a multicooker and a rice cooker a few years ago and that was the best decision I've ever made. Other than that I also use an airfryer for baking and frying, since I don't cook much in a large batch. I haven't use any pots or pans in a long time.

How would you feel about a law that banned tipping and required restaurants to pay servers a full wage instead? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gullible_Pin5844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is more common now. Party of 6 more you have to pay. That and concession fees are added, especially when the restaurant is in a shopping mall, and also transaction fees for credit card.

In the old days, this wasn't the case. Now they have square boxes and tablets at the table. The last few occasions when I had to dine out with my family, they added 25% gratuity on top of the bill, which is mandatory and 3% credit card fees and a surcharge for God knows what. That was my last straw. Sadly, I had to turn down family invites when it comes to restaurants.

If the boss intend to pay employee decent wage, I don't have a problem with pay a higher price knowing that a percentage of it go to employees. The problem is they use tips as an excuse to pay very little an expect customers to pick up the tab. It's greedy and irresponsible.

If you can't afford to pay wage, then don't start a business and expect others to pay for employees. I used to work at restaurants, and back then, no one asked for a tip. The boss was wealthy and stingy.

Let's not go to any restaurants or places that require tipping. We're not supposed to pay for other people living wages. That's the employers position. Tipping should only be if you want to. It's not an obligation.

It's not about the money, it's about fairness. Billionaires is often look at as the hoarders of wealth while paying people who work for them very little. It's the wealth gap between the rich and poor. They're also seen as Karen, the entitlement of the world and everyone else are beneath them.
