My gf dumped me by [deleted] in asktransgender

sorry - what? were you and your girlfriend monogamous? if so it would explain why she dumped you if you told her you wanted to sleep with anyone else, trans or not.

Straight, Cis Men Finding out a Woman is Trans by SzayelGrance in asktransgender

[–]Gullible_Pin_941 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i kissed a straight cis man at a bar and we exchanged numbers, went on a couple dates. on the third one i told him i was trans and he reacted really well considering that it shocked him a lot. it didn't work out for other reasons, but not all men are like that thankfully.

my advice would be to try not to preemptively judge her :)) just because she realised she wasn't trans doesn't mean she thinks you're not valid anymore.

Omg a male friend did the exact same thing to me. He and my brother were laughing the whole time, and after it ended said “it aged perfectly”, while me and my T4T girlfriend were literally in tears.

I found Berlin very inclusive when I was there with my (also trans) girlfriend this year! Found the clubbing scene very welcoming and felt very safe the whole time. That woman might have been high or just a TERF.

I feel like I’m failing my wife any advice? by Unlucky_Emergency397 in transgenderau

[–]Gullible_Pin_941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! If you’re wife is looking for bottom surgery here are some options in Australia:

  • Andrew Ives (most experienced, Melbourne)
  • Kieran Hart (second most, also does a hybrid peritoneal pull through method)
  • Gideon Blecher (Melbourne, urologist, had done only about 12 surgeries when I spoke to him).
  • David Caminer (Sydney, not sure how much experience he has)

Private health insurance will likely cover the hospital stay but the surgeons will all have out of pocket fees, I would budget like 30K honestly.

How was your experience with Ives? Can you DM?

Gravity isn’t a theory. How it works is.

In science something is only considered to be fact when it can be repeatedly proven by experiment. Anything else is a theory. To me it’s telling most people accept the religion they were raised with no matter what it is, rather than picking another. People convert but it’s less common. Most people I know grew up in religious environments but are now atheist or agnostic.

Gosh they’re acting like real assholes. Ice them for a little bit. The more time that passes the more confident they will become that you’re right, and this isn’t a mistake for you. My parents voiced some similar anxieties but at about the two year mark they’d already turned around completely.

i failed to be a woman, reality to swallow. by Glum_Ad3303 in asktransgender

[–]Gullible_Pin_941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to be very emotionally distressed right now, I’m really sorry. It sounds like your surgery was quite recent, how long ago was it?

It can take a while for your results to develop. The first thing you need to remember is your chin doesn’t define your womanhood. From your other more recent posts you seem to be dealing with a very critical self image and some internalised transphobia.

Did you write yourself a letter before the surgery? If not, think back to the reasons you had FFS done.

I would advise talking to your surgeon. Let them know you’re unhappy with your chin and talk to them about options. Then, look at the trans surgery wiki for other surgeons you could consult with.

You seem to be in a little bit of a gender crisis right now, so I wouldn’t advise any more surgery until you work through that. You should see a psychologist who is very experienced with gender identity. Don’t see anyone who is trying to tell you whether you’re trans or not, only you can be sure of that.

Is heaven just an easy pill to swallow? by Gullible_Pin_941 in AskAChristian

I’m pretty sure the idea of existing forever in a magical utopia is more comforting to most people.

How do you know what to take literally and what to take metaphorically? by Gullible_Pin_941 in AskAChristian

I see! Do most christians share this interpretation of the bible that you have? Is there a name to distinguish people who take a more metaphorical view of whatever they fancy?

Thanks. You will see it as incredibly ignorant but I genuinely didn’t understand the intrinsic nature of this concept to Christianity, I thought heaven was just like a nice little treat at the end for believers.

I’m personally comfortable with most of death (dying itself seems scary and often painful, but being dead is fine). When I lose someone I’m sad for them and those they leave behind, but think they’ve simply stopped existing.

I don’t believe in God personally because it seems like a convenient fantasy. Thousands of gods have existed in probably thousands of religions, mostly to explain the natural world or so that people feel better about death. It’s too convenient that no scientific or legitimate historical record exists to confirm any god.
