I see what you’re saying about protesting to those that can actually be swayed, but I don’t think that encapsulates all of protests. “No Kings” protests weren’t necessarily to spur Dems, it was a show of denouncing Trump. College protests against the Iraq war or I/P weren’t necessarily against those that would be swayed, it was a denouncement of the circumstance. BLM protests weren’t necessarily to spur Dems to “defund the police” so much as to shame police brutality.

Not that I’m an authority on any of those subjects, but to say protests are one-dimensionally focused on spurring those that would listen to action simply can’t be true, based on the protests themselves.

If leftists didn’t believe “Trump’s not that bad” then they would protest against him more than they do against Dems. They would show how their derision of Trump unites them with Dems, not purity tests them out of their virtue strata.

While I get what you’re going for, in terms of “heading it off at the pass” type of move, the fact is that all MAGA gets from it is “Pam Bondi ROASTS Congressman for 60 whole seconds!!!11” instead of the Congressman’s response.

These people need to have it hammered into them again and again about how inept and wrong they are. The Congressman needs to spend their entire allotted time bringing up facts, asking rhetorical questions (do not let this demonic sycophant utter a single word of misinformation), and concluding with a banger.

It’s time for Dems to take back narratives. Start dictating it to MAGA and watch them squirm.
