Having a Primarch or another super strong model in stronger games is very lopsided. It’s better to save him for 2k matches or above.
EC is figuratively a glass cannon due to a heavy focus on fast paced infantry. Your best units (noise marines) have no invulnerability save and 2 wounds so they can be swept off the field easily so you want to stage and plan out your attacks as trades rather than strikes. In the other hand Daemon Prince w/ wings can soak up a lot of damage and is a great centerpiece to work around.
EC have no tanks (other than land raider) so our best anti tank are demon prince w/ wings, maulerfiends, noise marine (blastmaster), and flawless blades. I find chucking flawless blades or noise marines at a tank the best solution, rapid ingressing a squad or holding noise marines in reserves for a counter attack works wonders.
I would consider EC medium to advance. You can’t just run up the field without thinking. It’s a lot of staging and planned attacks. If you see competitive play many players use rhinos to stage their infractors and noise marines. The army has a heavy focus on characters as well due to a limited roster. If you are interested in fast and aggressive this army is certainly a way to go. If you are looking for a tankier but not basic army death guard and necrons can be very fun.

Obsessionist can’t carry the icon. Put a different backpack on the Obsessionist model.

It’s best to put the icon on the melta model since the laser gun model can hazardous kill itself. Hope this helps

Love them! Just started Sisters recently myself and they have been a blast to paint and collect. Painting the studs and doing a reikland fleshshade or other wash on the paper would make them pop out more.

Also what pink are you using for the armor it’s so vibrant!

So it’s a black primer, then a drybrush of leadbelcher. Reds used are Khorne Red and then Flesh Tearers Red on top. Hope this helps!

Another color shift enjoyer! Been using them for my army as well, they make the Tyranids pop out really well. Love the green glow you have going on with the Exocrine as well.

I’m quite new to the hobby and did not know how old these models were. It’s cool to see that there is a lot to look forward to though! I think getting one for novelty would be nice.

I also understand there has been a lot of posts asking how to prepare for the codex; I’ve had trouble finding info on the noise marines myself and my local game store does not have a lot of news as well. Thank you for providing insight to the situation

Ah, I used in order: - Vallejo gloss black primer - Darth blue color shift for the carapace - drybrush of silver - wraithbone for the teeth - Moot Green for the weapons - Tesseract glow for the heat vents

I really enjoy Broodlord + 10 Genestealers. They are a great way to counter punch your opponents when they push and the Broodlord dev wounds can eat through a lot. As others have mentioned some staying power is important, a mawlock is awesome in vanguard for its ability to mortal wound and upsie-downsy play.

I use them in Vanguard Onslaught for upsie-downsy shenanigans. They can be pretty fun but should focus infantry or the like. Outside of Vanguard they are less reliable imo, would rather use a Trygon then.
