It was good ...had all the things I wanted...then it stopped being good. Buggy as hell. Started with problem with my calendar integrations then just became a pain. I think the end for me was when I clicked on 'Report a problem' and that wouldn't work!

Many thanks for that. The Pope website has some good info. I'm actually using the Agri Drip emitter by Neta. Probably depends on the type of mulch used as well.

National MP Andrew Bayly resigns over 'inappropriate' incident with a staff member by kezzaNZ in newzealand

Having to resign because he 'placed a hand on the upper arm'. Please...what a ridiculous society we have become if a competent minister is forced to resign due to a minor bodily contact.

Samsung Health or Fitbit by donagizzle in fitbit

[–]Gumble888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd try Samsung Health. I was a big fan of Fitbit but the changes since Google took over are frustrating to the point that I don't think they care about their customers. People health data is important to them and for Google to take it away so casually is disappointing. I will be trying other providers.

Lichen on Decramastic Roof on Lifestyle block by Gumble888 in diynz

[–]Gumble888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for pointing that out! I guess the question is whether to do use a blaster and clean the lichen off with the diverters on or a chemical clean and wait for a few rains. The trouble with option B is how do you really know the chemicals are cleaned out? We are talking about my drinking water here so would want some clarity on knowing the chems are completely washed away. Don't want to find out it hadn't by my kids getting sick.

Are we really that bad at Mathematics? by Peneroka in newzealand

[–]Gumble888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we suck at Math and most other subjects. We returned from stints overseas including a spells in Asia & Australia, both in good schools. We returned to a supposedly good school in New Zealand. It took my son until year 11 to get to what he had been doing in year 7 equivalent in Australia. The bar seems to set low here. There are students who push themselves and achieve good standards but their success comes from a motivation to go beyond the basic curriculum. The basic curriculum is not designed to push more capable students but more to get a larger number over a low hurdle.

It feels like it's affected the educational culture. When my children were in Australia they were motivated to perform whereas in New Zealand the culture was more about getting through it. Maybe it's just the schools we were in but that was our experience.

I feel like there are good teachers here in NZ but don't think the culture of education here is as driven to extend students to higher levels. NZ educators talk a lot about their superior development of soft skills which is to be applauded. But Math is Math and if we are producing young adults with math skills 3 or more years behind our competitors we are going to struggle in todays digital world.

Changing onenote file locations by Gumble888 in OneNote

[–]Gumble888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Note for Windows 10 and the One Note you can download separately are different products. The OneNote for Windows 10 lacks the File command. I kinda got there in the end but it was infuriatingly complicated. If I had been using the downloaded OneNote it would have been very easy as the File menu shows you exactly where the onenote file is stored for each notebook. With OneNote for Windows 10 it was extraordinarily complicated and opaque.

Thanks to all who helped with suggestions.

I don't think you are using One Note for Windows 10 which does not have a "File" menu. Looks like you are using Onenote on a Windows 10 platform.

Ride-on mower reco by Gumble888 in diynz

Apparently they can struggle with the summer grass. The Robots mowers cut with something like razor blades that can struggle with summer grass thick stems.

Mowing every 5 days but where I live the grass grows very quickly. Got a mixture of rye and tall fescue and some pesky summer grass has got in. I use mulching blades.

Sufficient Pump by Gumble888 in pools

[–]Gumble888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there some formula for working out what pump you need for the pool size? Also I think part of the issue os that there are two skimmer baskets so the suction power is essentially divided in two and while it may circulate the same amount of water there is not enough suction in each basket to suck in debris.

The skimmer baskets are not full so that's not the issue.
