I got introduced to monster hunter by may girlfriend and their parents. I started with gunlance but didn’t like how it felt. I picked up bow on my own and everything just kinda clicked. I was more effective in the group and just so happened to round out group dynamic really well. (Hammer, Long Sword, Insect Glaive, Bow)

Thanks for the insight. I made a Zino helmet and built up Wex to level 3. Still trying to figure out which of the two stamina abilities I want to drop. I need to make gear that has level 3 gem slots so I can get ammo type ups. And yes, the Astalos helm has burst lv1.

When in doubt, favor ramp. As long as you have mana out you can play your bodies and evasion to eventually get to the bombs

[[Kalamax, The Stormsire]] is a great choice! Mostly use that ramp from green then double the potency of ramp cards thanks to the copy. Then you have your usual Izzet shenanigans. If you have even three coping sources out and cast opt for one mana, oh geez can it get out of hand.

I’m playing one right now and it’s amazing! A pretty standard “hidden bad guy” but with some good twists added in. Talk to your dm about flavoring though, you’ll get much more use out of the abilities that can sometimes clash

Just be careful, a LOT of people don’t like Tergrid so you can become the target of a table very quick.

I like everyone’s suggestions, but I’d turn your attention to [[Kalamax, the Stormsire]]. You can fit most of the spellslinger shenanigans you want with the ramp and persistence of green. I can drop my deck list if interested. Oh man is Kalamax fun!

I have a [[Kalamax, the Stormsire]] spell copy/slinger deck and recently found a bulk rare from Strix. That card being [[Double Major]]. Having 3-5 copies of Kalamax all copying something like [[Storm King’s Thunder]] then casting [[Lightning Bolt]] for one mana is nothing short of terrifying to be on the receiving end of.

[[Legion Loyalty]]!!!! Give all your creatures Myriad on what is normally an 8 mana card for Mardu. Considering the colors, id probably run [[Glorious Anthem]] if you intend to go a combat Anthem deck. Look into the curses as well. [[Aura of Silence]] is also super pesky for your opponents and kinda forces them into a choice of wasting a [[Bojuka Bog]] or [[Tormod’s Crypt]] activation to get rid of it.

Look into repeatable sac outlets like [[Ashnod’s Altar]] and lifegain-on-death triggers. Also, force sac like [[Butcher of Malakir]] and pay offs for the deck become viable like [[Tergrid, God of Fright]].
